I haven't got the Imperial Armor yet, but is there a plasma cannon option on the Vulture? If yes ignore the rest of the post.

Looking at the models on the site I don't think there is, so would you accept a one as a counts as Executioner? I like plasma guns, in concept and look so I was thinking of a Vulture with plasma cannons. Do you think this would be attractive as a model?

From what I recall, no.

It has a nose-mounted HB, and then you have four hard-points. Hard-points are mounted in pairs, so you can get:

2 Lascannons
2 Autocannons
2 Multi-Lasers
2 3-packs of HK Missiles
2 3-packs of Heavy Bombs
2 3-packs of Heavy Guided Bombs (dangerous!!!)
2 Rocket Pods

I don't think you can get more regular HB's, but no there aren't any Plasma Cannon options. I think the twin Punisher Cannon array will take up 2 hard-points each.

In the old rules for Rocket Pods (S5 Heavy 2/Blast) it was very dangerous to team a pair of those with 6 HG Bombs - you could annihilate whole sections of a Tau army in a single shooting phase!

I was thinking of making a plasma Vulture becuase I'm a fan of plasma. But would you accept it in a game?

Mayby change the HB into a lascannon, puy plasma cannons on the wings, and the big cannon on an underslung turret. Think this would look cool or just stupid?

Turn 'em all to Plasma - nose-mounted Plasma Cannon and then 4 wing-mounted Plasma Cannons. It'll be great!

That's what I did with my Executioner - gave it a hull Plasma Cannon as well as Sponson Plasma Cannons. House rule is now if I roll three or more 1's To Hit, the tank explodes!!!

So most would accept a plasma Vulture as an Executioner then, thats good. Now I can have one while not breaking fluff. (There Elysian Drop Troopers)

I don't think 'most' would accept a 'Counts As' Executioner using a Vulture. I think 'most' would have a big problem with it because 'most' people would perceive you as trying to gain some sort of advantage. What advantage you would gain from having tank that's bigger than a Land Raider and sits 8" off the table I do not know, but people will still see it that way.

So before you go converting an expensive resin model, think about who you play with regularly and whether they're a bunch of cool laid back players who don't mind trying new things, or a bunch of stickinthemuds who only want to play RAW and hate free thought.

I'm a free spirit myself, but there is no arguing that a vulture (i own one) has an awesome line of sight advantage.

I was trying to stay in theme, the Elysian Drop Troops are airborne. Yet I wanted to try out the Executioner, so this is the compromise.

I think it would look cool. Not really sure how you'd do the Plasma Destructor, but otherwise yeah, it would work.

The plasma Destructor would go on an underslung turret on the bottom of the Vulture, much like that one flyier in Unreal Tounament 3.
