I was thinking about switching out a group of Zerkers for regular space marines in one of the Rhinos. I was thinking they could jump out and shoot into a group before the Zerkers get the assault. They are also much better for objective games. I have 15 of the reg. marines to work with. Let me know what you guys think of this list.

I agree with your conclusion to pack a squad of regular CSM's - will lend some much needed fire support.

I two like the idea of the CSM guys. Tho why a power weapon and the lord? Why not a PF? I can see the need to go frist, but the fist gives you so much more.

Maybe switch out the Lord for Kharn?
Well if your thinking of a normal CSM squads, then they have bolters, and chainswords and bolt pistols, give them mark of khorne and they have 4 attacks on the charge with WS 4 STR 4 and there cheaper then beserkers.

Take 30CSM's mark of khorne in rhinos/LRs and thats like 120 attacks on the charge if they manage to get in CC.

So a CSM squads would be a worthy investment, give them double melta and they could go round hitting tanks, double Plasma gun there termie killers, or a missile launcher, meltagun and there a support+tank hunter squad.

I would go with Kharn but i wanted to save some points and he doesnt really play well with others haha. I love the idea of the zerkers so i wont switch them ALL over to regular CSMs. I was just thinking about 1 squad.

My next add on to this army will prob be the Blood Thirster just because its awesome and the Fluff works out well.

A power fist on the Lord would be awesome but if anything i would want to give him a demon weapon. Their not the greatest but it goes along better with the fluff of the army as a whole and i like how they look.

I'd replace the 'zerkers with regular CSM, myself. They're hardly worth it, as one-deimensional as they are, and have no extra protection than a regular marine. Off the charge the only thing better about them is +1 A, +1 WS. Drop the Lord because he will get insta-gibbed every single game. You don't have enough firepower, and nowhere near enough anti-tank. Lots of Melta guns > lots of attacks that don't kill tanks.

I know there are many things that this list is lacking but im really into an aggressive CC play style. I'm not looking to take this list and win tourneys with it. I mainly want to have something that is fun and within the realms of my play style.

I'm also trying to keep the list under 2200 points for now. Once my play group moves to 2500, ill be making my Lord MUCH more effective, but for now hes going to have to stay as is.

As for anti tank, 6 Lascannon shots from the Land raiders isnt to bad. I have done fairly well against tanks in other games with only my land raiders. Luck? maybe but still fun none the less =)

I would never put berzerkers in a rhino. They belong in a land raider. They are a big target the turn they disembark from/get shot out of that rhino. A land raider is more durable transport and it gives the berzerkers the chance to assault the turn they disembark.

So if you only really want to use a single heavy slot for a land raider go ahead and replace the other berzerker squads with regular CSMs and give them MoK for extra assaulty goodness.

I also like Kharne and use him in my berzerker army. I use three land raiders and it works pretty well for me. It's not the most optimized list in the CSM codex but it's fun to play IMO. I love going balls to the wall charging forward in those big raiders and spilling out to revel in the glory of Khorne.

Zerkers can be effective in rhinos... if played correctly. Just get them close enough so they can disembark next turn 6 inches and get the assault. Remember, if the rhino doesn't move your khorne get their full move!

The lord MUST have either a power fist or (my favorite) a demon weapon. I ALWAYS run a demon weapon on my khorne lord. Up to 17 attacks is just... uber! Also you can't have 3 LR and 2 defilers, unless your goin apoc lol.

Overall could be fun I always run lesser summoned demons when i do an all out khorne army. Why? it makes those rhinos not so bad. Summon the demons within 6 inches, get the assault off, so your khorne have time to assault next turn.

Yeah i think im going to go with the Demon weapon on the lord. It looks awesome. Also, 2 of my land Raiders are dedicated transports for my termies. That doesnt go towards my Heavy slots.

Why you dont try to take termies in deep strike? take personal icon i each squad and take your 'Zerkers to land raider
Abut defilers i can say only this its exelent choise IMHO but I prefer them like a range firepower so a almoast always give them Havoc and let them stay as far as they can and shoot. Battle cannon is geat!

I did have the termies deepstriking and all Zerkers in the Land Raiders but it wasnt enough fire power. I do usually use my Defilers for ranged with havoc launcher and cannon. The defilers work awesome long range. The termies are amazing assaulting out of the Land Raider so i like them in the transport.
