I also have the option of swapping the havocs for 4x Heavy Bolters as to get more shots off, or just throwing in 2x Oblitz as per normality. I know I'll be facing a good few Lascannons and probably a triple Vindi list. I will also face at least one land raider, which really doesn't bug me.

Edit: Also note that paint/theme will be a minor factor. I have two awesome conversion Nurgle DPs, a Great Unclean One, Plaguebearers as the lesser Daemons and the havocs are old Nurgly-lookin' marines. I am *NOT* playing a "Nurgle list" so please refrain from commenting on fluff. I just think the army will be more visually impressive with similar models.

Look's alright, must be alot of lascannon's I always get shaken or stunned, which usually mean's nothing thank's to possession

Yeah, they aren't supreme anti-tank by any means, but my Oblitz get insta-gibbed which is no fun. I reserve possession for LRs and Vindis. I figure if I get the DPs cover as I advance then I basically have MoT as well. My main concern is whether I should go for Heavy Bolter or Missile Launcher havocs. HBs are purely anti-infantry or maybe anti-transport, and I think I have my AT covered already. MLs could go either way though, and could help leaps and bounds against a skimmer-heavy list that would otherwise have a big mobility boost against me.

Your units of Space Marines are too small: they need some extra bodies to absorb firepower.

I'd recommend ditching the Greater Daemon and possibly the Lesser Daemons to give your Daemon Princes powers like Warptime or Nurgle's Rot, add more bodies to your Chaos Space Marines, and add things like Heavy Weapons to your Chaos Space Marine squads, Havocs and Extra Armour or Daemonic Possession to your Rhinos, and maybe give the Havocs their own Rhino.

I like it. It seems pretty potent at 1000. Fresh idea too. I'd probably change the Havoks to maybe a preditor with autocannon and 2x lascannon for 130 and use the extra points to add another marine or 2.

I can drop the lessers down to min to add a couple bodies to the marines, but I want the extra scoring unit. As far as powers for the DPs, I'd rather keep the extra MC wounds on the board. The havocs aren't moving, and I want as many points to be killy as possible.

Umm... I dont think there is anything wrong with it. I would say definitely the havocs instead of oblits.( i cant believe i just said that).

Ha! I know what you mean. At this point level 4 Str 8 shots > 2 Str 9. And it's 5 wounds vs. 4, assuming no ID.

Small games are all about taking lots of very hard to kill models, and you have 3 MCs.

Two scoring units will be enough and lesser demons dont really add anything, so i would drop them for more bodies on your marines and warptime on your princes.

Your anti-tank is fine because your opponents wont be able to shoot your MCs down before they get into combat with their vehicles.

Just two obliterators will eat some lascannon and die. Take them if you are goint to use 3+. I use two squads of two in my 1000pt list and they do wonders, but two is too few.

All in all I think its a good little list.
