Hi all, I need some help - i have made an Arch Heretic (for my Traitor Guard Army), but was thinking about making a new one.
Well that was the easy part, now comes the hard part.

- I was thinking of using this Commissar:


but I only got so fare with the idea to use this gasmask from the new plastic hellhound.


Well I' was thinking of giving him a GS layer over the plate armour, so it looks like he also got himself some rag-cloth as the rest of my Traitors.
Note: My Traitors are based on the Forgeworld Renegade Militia figures.

Do anyone of you in here, have anykind of ideas that might work will this figure - to make him more Arch Heretic-ish.

I wouldn't GS over the plate armor. It marks him as a leader. If I would make him a traitor I would mark up the Imperial Eagle like the character had tried to debase the symbol when he fell from grace. I wouldn't get rid of it completely though so people can see where his former loyalties layed.

I'd go with gs over the eagle and carving a chaos star in it's place.

The respirator would work rather well. Some armour on the knees wouldn't go amiss either

Great model to start off with... I also think the gas mask idea would look great!

I think the straps need to have "claws" protruding from them, as if possessed.

This model, with a bit of green stuff work to tatter up the robes, can't really look more traitorous..

The key to it, imo, would be to give him a very chaotic base, with spikes protruding from the earth and a dead servant of the emperor. This way you don't over convert the actually model.

I like the idea, (Commissars being creepy dudes and all that) But what I'm not sure about is how easy it would be to swap out his head and stuff when it's a metal that you're dealing with. In my experience they are horrific to try and cut appart unless you have some sorta funky saw. I really do like the gas mask though, it's suitibly chaosy and creepy looking.

I'll be interested to see how this idea works out.

You could use the gas masks that come in the company command box then no cutting up a metal fig
