It's a lot nicer than I'd expected, and I'd be very happy to get one for Xmas (if you're reading this, Grandma), but... just doesn't seem an essential purchase, and I remain puzzled as to why GW thought it was needed.

Or why THIS was in 'traditional' plastic and the Blastscape (which would have been much cooler and perhaps deserving of a longer shelf life) was not...

Hell, I told all y'all two months ago the Battlescape would be moulded plastic (like the Temple of Skulls) while the Blastscape would be vacuformed. But if there's one thing I've learned about the internet is that even when given the information on a silver platter, people don't listen.

I guess it bears repeating then:

Please try not to dislocate your shoulder while patting yourself on the back!

Though I suppose BrookM could pat H.M.B.C. on the back, and then H.M.B.C. could then return the favor?

Either one of you Internet Prophets of Truth want to take a break from grandstanding and tell us what's in the Mystery Box?

Ever since you changed your Avatar, people stopped paying attention to what you post. I am just glad this one is what it appeared to be, now I just need to find my spare Rhino parts to spiffy mine up.

Why don't you like it? It's just a hill, a few trees, and a crashed rhino. It's a good fifth edition line of sight blocking piece with elevation but sides that aren't too steep to stand on.

Looking at it again, I am vaguely tempted to buy it then chop it up to get 3 bits of terrain - two non-flimsy craters and a nice wrecked Rhino. Wonder what I could sell the leftover tree stumps for on eBay...

Because it screams cheesy 80's/90's toy-playset - The Space Marine Action Battle Playset. I'm surprised the Rhino doesn't have a springloaded missile launcher that fires little red plastic rods, and sound effects that make the eyes on the trees light up.

What's next, the Dark Eldar Hideout? The Necron Technodrome? The Ork Battle Wagon... oh wait...

Necron Technodrome! YES! I'd buy that just for the tmnt reference... And because Necrons would totally use a technodrome. It's like a mini, underground world engine.

You can't spell 'slaughter' without 'laughter'.

I'm not really seeing a difference between this, the crashed aquila or any GW terrain that makes this particularly 80's playset

I think i can buy badly painted rhino on ebay for $5 ,
chop it up into 3 pieces and make terrain out of it.

I do like the rhino battle scape terrain , but everything else seems pretty useless , ugly.

They have the Forge World crashed Valkyrie pack hanging at one of the local game/hobby stores.

That one is a nice terrain piece as well, although I still haven't decided if I'd want it or not (it will probably be sold by the time I have decided).

Same here, cut rhino and craters for terrain boost.
Just this week I finally played a bit with the Macragge terrain sprues, good stuff, so this rhino would be a cool extra for the displays I'm builting up here.

I think he might mean the old Star Wars ones, which would be 70s/80s.
