Do you use the init value granted with furious charge on your assault turn if you either break and run or break the enemy? i.e would you get that extra " for catching them?

I believe that you use your unmodified initiative for sweeping advances.

Yes.......Furious Charge only boosts your Initiative for the attack phase.......mark of slaanesh permanatly boosts the initiative......

But if you fall back or chase during your assault phase, during which your init is either 3 or 4 as orks /w furious.

So even though for that phase they have a higher init and all actions taking using init happen in that phase in my scenario you'd still use the unmodified? is there a page in the rulebook i could be directed to? normally things are very specific about when you use unmodified stat values.

The idea is that it takes extra effort and time to write properly, and they’d rather save the time. If you can still be understood, what’s the harm? While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.

....and the reason Mark of Slaanesh *doesn't* work is that it specifically modifies the profile; while it is a permanent change it is akin to the toughness boost from riding a bike - you end up with "I4/5" on their profile.

yarr, all the marks add the () to whatever. Thus you take whatever it is unmodified, the same way you figure out insta-death. It actually says it specifically somewhere in the rulebook

The eye of terror.

So what about... noise marines? The profile says that their initiative is 5, but the special rules section says "mark of slaanesh (included in profile)."

I'd be inclined to say that they count as "unmodified" initiative 5, because that's what's written in the profile. However, I could see it argued that the mark of slaanesh is still a bonus, and thus modifies the initiative value...

It is unmodified as their profile states 5. You cannot argue any other way than what their unmodified profile actually states.
