I think these are nicely done. Perfect for table quality. Infact Im going to say these are closer to the better end of table top. Nice work

Agreed, and great photos too... not many people take good pics of their figures. Myself included.

Welcome to Dakka
These are pretty good - though if I may make some suggestions:
You have some mould-line issues here and there, which become really obvious when drybrushedThe rough texture you're getting (e.g. on you terminator sergeant) tells me that you're spraying your primer either too thickly, too close or at the wrong temperature. You've gotten drybrushing and washing down pat, try highlighting them a little - for these models take a small drybrush and apply a lighter colour to just the upper areas of each part, where light would naturally hit them - this will help make the mini 'pop'
Keep it up - we want to see more!

2-3 coats of primer, instead of trying to get it done in one go, will solve that problem. Hold the can about a foot away and give the mini's a once-over, then come back to em again in 15-20 mins. Another light coat, walk away, repeat a 3rd time. Doing this as your 'break' from painting other figures works great. You get to stand up and walk around a bit while staying productive.

I don't know, they just look very unfinished to me. None of the purity seals have writing, the honor scrolls have nothing painted on them, and the colors just don't seem really highlighted. Just looks like you primed them black and then gave them a quick once over drybrushing instead of actually painting them black. It also looks like you lost alot of detail priming them and that you only have around 6 colors in your paint kit.
Also as stated previously, lots of mold lines.
The actual parchment looks good though.

I will be trying some highlighting techniques and painting on the scrolls now that I got a few basics down. I will revisit these models once I am comfortable with it, Unfortuantely the mold lines are gonna have to stay :S. Future models I will spend a bit more time cleaning them up.
Yes these minis were primed, fairly poorly, then drybrushed and detailed. I tend to rush painting a bit so I skip steps.
Thanks all for comments and criticisms, much appreciated! I've taken it all in and I really do want to improve on my painting ability.
Next up is Lysander. Lets see if i can do better.

These are solid (im guilty of the mould lines too). But they do look half done, and the main reason is the bases (or lack thereof). If you put anything on the base, these guys will look seriously good on a tabletop!

I think you should add a bit of color to some of the shields, but everything is pretty solid. Nice work.

Ok so here is Lysander. To me he looks much the same as the others, maybe a little cleaner, not much though.
Next thing that I am going to do before painting any more guys is baseing these ones. I've uploaded Shrike which I didn't paint but it shows what i'm thinking for the baseing.
