Hey guys been thinkin bout my next army. a custom chapter perhaps, just gotta think of a colour scheme i like What i'm wondering is what models should i use to get the desired wargear presented on the models.

I've chosen to give my catpain the following:

Artificer armour, Iron halo, Jump pack, Frag & krak grenades, Boltgun w/ hellfire rounds, Lightning claw, Digital weapons, Melta bombs.

I was thinking of using the Space Marine Sternguard Veteran with Power Fist and boltgun, replacing his backpack with a jump pack, but the only issue is turning the power fist into a lightning claw. Any turtorials on how to do this?

Also, i have 2 scout swuads of 5 as my 2 troops choices (500 point armies is my thing) and i've gone with one having a heavy bolter and the rest with snipers, but i've hit a speed bump...

If i want to do this i'm going to have to buy 2 boxes each of

to get just the heavy bolter because the stupid one with snipers only seems to have a missile launcher or can someone make my day and tell me that because these are multi plastic parts that there's a heavy bolter in there!

Unfortunately you are correct. No HB in the sniper scout box. I would try looking around Ebay there is a metal HB scout model that someone may still have hanging around.

You could just buy the Space Marine Commander box... It has the Iron Halo, Lightning Claw, Bolter, and Grenades. You would only have to get a Jump pack for it to be complete.

True but the only problem is i don't like all the leather straps n stuff. I like the armour of that veteran.....besides that veteran has artificer armour

Hmmm shame they don't sell the Vanguard jump packs...

His "bodyguards" are an assault squad but i'm gonna make them look uber by getting a Vanguard Veteran Squad with jump packs Only thing that isn't right on them is 2 of them have plasma pistols, so i guess i'll order 2 bolter hands and save the plasma pistols for later and 2 have power weapons, could i perhaps just say they're "combat blades"? also i guess i can say the sergeant's bolt pistol is in his holster on his hip

(all have bolt pistols because they're expensive in 500 point armies )
