I've recently been smitten with the Warmachine bug, and I'm in love with the mercenary pirates. In particular, I'm fond of their warjacks like the Freebooter and the Mariner...

... due in no small part to their resemblance to the Big Daddies in Bioshock, which I adored.

So I've been wanting to base a small force around these guys. I'm not looking at much more than skirmish games with a warcaster and a few jacks. However, the problem then becomes what do I do for my warcaster? None of the existing pirate merc casters strike my fancy that much, and none really adhere to the theme I have in mind, so I figured I'd just make my own and use him as a 'counts-as' warcaster for someone like Bartolo Montador.

I stumbled upon this image from Bioshock 2 and I think it'd make a fantastic warcaster for the army I have in mind.

I figure this guy, with some sort of steampunk-ish pistol and sword, would make the ideal warcaster for what I want.

The problem is that I'm a bit of a rubbish sculptor, so I can't really just grab an armature and go from scratch on making this.

Thus we arrive at the point of this thread. I've been combing over the more obscure miniature brands looking for something that might work, and I've not had a great deal of success. I'm obviously not going to find something that is 100% right for this model, but I'm trying to find something that I can at least add to to make the above.

I'm throwing this up here in the hopes that I'll get a few good recommendations to serve as a starting point. I seem to remember a miniature range that had some sort of field engineers in baggy fatigues that looked a bit like what this guy's wearing, but I have no idea where I saw it. Either way, I figure if I can find something close that I can add the diving helmet / details to, I'll be in business.

So, Dakka, any ideas?

On a tangentally related topic, I'm interested in knowing of any 28mm-scaled anchors, because I'm going to be converting a couple of the 'regular' merc warjacks like the Mangler to a more nautical theme.

By the title, I thought you were going to make your caster look like Adam Sandler.

Should note that those are stock warjack pictures off Privateer Press's site, for anyone unfamiliar.

If you're going for a BioShock theme, why not have a Little Sister as the warcaster? Miniatures for little girls should be easy to find and adding the syringes onto them shouldn't involve much work either.

On a different note, you've just provided me with a perfect idea for my IG stormtroopers (whenever I get around to making them), thank you
