I came across an add for one of their products on FRP games and then went to their web site, where I saw these videos. Either this guy is a total kook or he makes the best dice in the universe.

THE HORUS HERESY: Emprah: Hours, go reconquer the galaxy so there can be a new golden age. Horus: But I should be Emprah, bawwwwww! Emprah: Magnus, stop it with the sorcery. Magnus: But I know what's best, bawwwwww! Emprah: Horus, tell Russ to bring Magnus to me because I said so. Horus: Emprah wants you to kill Magnus because he said so. Russ: Fine. Emprah's always right. Plus Ole Red has already been denounced as a traitor and I never liked him anyway. Russ: You're about to die, cyclops! Magnus: O noes! Tzeentch, I choose you! Bawwwww! Russ: Ah well. Now to go kill Horus. Russ: Rowboat, how have you not been doing anything? Guilliman: . . . I've been writing a book. Russ: Sigh. Let's go. Guilliman: And I fought the Word Bearers! Horus: Oh shi--Spess Puppies a'comin? Abbadon: And the Ultramarines, sir. Horus: Who? Anyway, this looks bad. *enter Sanguinis* What are you doing here? Come to join me? Sanguinius: *throws self on Horus's power claws* Alas, I am undone! When you play Castlevania, remember me! *enter Emprah* Emprah: Horus! So my favorite son killed my favorite daughter! Horus: What about the Lion? Emprah: Never liked her. Horus: No one does. Now prepare to die! *mortally wounds Emprah*Emprah: Au contraire, you dick. *kills Horus* Dorn: Okay, now I just plug this into this and . . . okay, it works! Emprah? Hellooooo? Jonson: I did nothing! Guilliman: I did more nothing that you! Jonson: Nuh-uh. I was the most worthless! Guilliman: Have you read my book? Dorn: No one likes that book. Khan: C'mon guys. It's not that bad. Dorn: I guess not. Russ: You all suck. Ima go bring the Emprah back to life.

He certainly takes dice more seriously than other companies making dice. But I read a few places that testing showed his products were not as good as claimed.

Milled dice are the only real dice. Molded dice are there to look pretty, but are often no good as random number generators.

Well, considering I played a game with a friend of mine this weekend, and rolled like crap all game with some Armory dice...I literally had a roll that was ALL 1s and 2s--like 16 dice or something. Jain Zar was failing fortune'd armor saves like it was her job (2+ save). It was ugly. So I just ordered myself like 36 of these dice

I heard about the d100 thing but not about anything related to WD. the gist of what I remember was that the dice he sells come with a plastic sprue/injection port still attached, and since perfect dice need perfect uniform geometry the dice are only as good as the job you do finishing them. there were other points too but that was the one I remember. Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh another point was that the numbers are relieved into the face of the die, which alos alters the balance.

Milled dice are machined from a chunk of material, molded dice are injection molded (like plastic figures)

Well there are different types of molding and injection is one kind. Lou looks like he was using cold resin casting. He also goes on to talk about why injection molding is also flawed.

I use casino dice and definitely notice the difference. If these are of the normal size and not too expensive (.75$ per isn't bad compared to the price of casino dice) they might be worth trying out.
Where can one get Chessex's precision dice? I am definitely in the market for some extra high quality dice. Rolling 20 casino dice over and over for one charge of my ork army is getting old

hmm, whereas I found the video informative... I also found it TOO informative, I'm going to have to make like the Chinese and bury this corner of the internet from the others at my FLGS otherwise our highrollers (i.e. dude who has ridiculous amounts of money and just buys already completed top-ranked, armies, units, Thunderhawks, Titans etc..) will go ahead and order these babies and then alter them to cheat.... just as the nice friendly dice man told us.
Made of Win but selling fail... oh so epic fail Mr. Lou, lol

I bought custom made chessex dice with a fleur de lie engraved for the 6.....
They were horrible..in one day I had a eviserator assassin lose to 2 tau...rolled 6 1's out of 10 dice rolled...which statistically is ridiculous
After rolling 200 times in a dice tower the 1's were coming up 24.6% of the time. 6's around 9.3%
I went out and bought casino dice from castaway bay (right before it blew up). I'm much happier with them and haven't had any table top anomalies that have forced me to test them out in the tower.

Rolling 6's in and of itself is not terribly important to me. Rolling 6's at the same probability as 1's, 2's, 3's, 4's and 5's is quite important to me. The game is based on a random roll of a d6 with the assumption of equal likelihood of each number. When you have crap chessex dice that have (according to some less than scientific studies) nearly a 30% chance of rolling a 1, that significantly changes the nature of the game.
Besides, we drop 50$+ on a tank model, or 5 terminators to use in one army. Why blink at dropping 50$ on quality dice that will be used with every army we own?
