So, was in my local GW the other day, and despite knowing I have a full time job Taxi driving, the Manager mentioned that since his Full Timer is moving on to Drama School, and his Part Timer moving to Full Timer, he would be in need of one or more Part Timers to make up the slack.
And cutting a not very long story mercifully short, he suggested that I should apply, and work one day a week.
Now obviously this has benefits to me. A solid income every month (as opposed to the fluctuating world of Taxi Driving) which although not much, will allow me to have contract phone etc. Plus, I'd be getting Staff Discount.
But I perceive a moral issue. In that in the UK, we currently have 2,000,000 unemployed people actively job hunting, and there's me considering taking on a second job, especially when the one I have pays pretty well as is. On the bright side, since I cannot commit to weekends at all (extremely lucrative time for Cab drivers) he will need me and at least one other person should my application be successful.
I have decided to go for it though. Just need to fill out the application form and hand it in tomorrow.

It's one day a week, someone out there who isn't working at all isn't going to be saved by working one day a week. All it's going to do is hide them from the unemployment figures.
Take the job.

Absolutely do it. As someone who's squeaking by trying to save money only working 3 days a week, (and unable to purchase warhams, no less) More jobs are always good. Plus, how many of the unemployed people are passionate about the hobby?
(though, apparently they break you of your passion for the hobby and instill in you a passion for GW instead. watch that)
Enjoy the discount!

Quick update guys.
Nipped across to GW today whilst on a job (take the old lady to the Shop, wait, take her back) to see what was happening. I walked in a Customer, and walked out an Employee!
Woooooooooooodiscount! Didn't have an interview, didn't even get round to handing in my application. Though to be fair, it's not that long since I went for the Full Timer position, so thats probably been enough.
Oh the ideas swimming in my head now...my mega-bastion being the least of them. Total best of both worlds. Decent paying full time job, and minimum hours with full discount GW job! YAY!

It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.

Certainly young man.
The Space Wolves are a First Founding Chapter (nee Legion) that during the Heresy, as most noted for destroying Prospero, the homeworld of the Thousand Sons Legion on the Emperors orders after Magnus The Red (Primarch of Thousand Sons) used Witchcraft, something forbidden within the fledgling Imperium, to warn the Emperor of Horus' betrayal.
Their homeworld is Fenris, they are non-Codex, being organised into 12 Great Companies led by a Wolf Lord. There is a 13th Great Company which was thought lost in the Warp, only to reemerge as a Loyalist Faction during The 13th Black Crusade. Other deviations from the Codex Organisation include their Scouts being Veterans rather than Neophytes, and their Neophytes (called Blood Claws) fight in full Power Armour. Once upon a time, their Power Armour was often Heirloomed from members of the Tribes of Fenris. Their Primarch was Leman Russ, who is also notable as the designer of the Tank bearing his name.
Their Power Armour is Grey/Blue in colour, and notable hero's of the Chapter include Logan Grimnir, Ulrik The Slayer, Ragnar Blackmane and Njal Stormcaller.

I meant the new codex (also Leman Russ Found the STC, he didn't design it. he couldn't design a Stick let alone a Tank )

I sell people what they need, not what they or I think they want. If that makes sense.
I play ze long game. Get the kid to have a legal army as soon as possible, then advise them on the big shiny toys, and you are more likely to retain them longer. Plus it makes the Parents happy, and thus more likely to empty the coffers when it comes to a big purchase! The simple question of 'Have you painted the last lot' when in the presence of a Parent might block a sale there and then, but guarantees later sales! Hurrah!
