I heard on a few forums and messageboards that Robert Pattinson (the guy who plays Edward in Twilight) was hit by a car today after leaving a bar and died.

The Twilight fans are calling it a hoax, but I'm not so sure. I still haven't found any news stories on it yet, so does anybody have one?

Sounds like malicious gossip spread by the ‘people’ on 4chan or somewhere not dissimilar.

Until you have read it on an actual news source treat it as the nonsense it almost certainly is.

Also remember that even though Twilight is the internet designated hate figure of the month, wishing harm or revelling in the misfortunes of another person is the hobby of douchbags.

I know, I know, I was just curious as to whether anyone else had heard of this and if they could confirm it.

More than likely this. I go to TG and TV over there and this kind of prank shows up a lot.

I hope so, my sister has a very obbessive personality. Her latest obsession is Twilight, Robert Pattinson etc.

That means her babbling on about gak 24/7. I hope the douche is injured or something thought. Not dead just unable to contuine the films.

Ya know, for all the things my girl could be into, I don't hate Twilight. The story gets less generic and much more gritty as it goes on. Wait for last two movies to be rated R and you'll see what I mean.
