I've recently started some classic Preatorian guardsmen (for commission). So far, I've painted up a lieutenant and one Leman Russ:

The idea for the tank color scheme is that it is in dress colors (like the guardsmen themselves) and then left in the field for a while (justifying the battle damage).

Commentary of all kinds is welcome.

I like the Russ. The weathering is very well done and actually makes the bright colours work on a battlefield.

Armies:
(CSM/HH) - Iron Warriors; Death Guard; World Eaters; Night Lords
IG - Vestfalian Expeditionary
Force (Solar Auxilia - HH)
SM - Blades of Inaros (Homebrew)
DE - Kabal of Ouroboros

Looks really good keep up the work.

I must say the Russ is really impressive, if only i could paint tanks that well.

You don't win a war by dying for your country, you make the other poor bastard die for his.

Very nice work as always. i really liked your movie marines on the B&C.

The difference between commitment and involvement is like eggs and ham; the ckicken was "involved", the pig was "comitted".

I really like the Russ. Its just different in a good way to the usual tank colour schemes I seem to see.

To quote the Channel 4 show, Peep Show: "I'm cancelling out of shame, like my subscription to White Dwarf"

Everyone else has already extolled the virtues of the tank (which is very cool btw), so I'm going to say how great the lt looks instead

Are you going to post up more pics as you go? I just sold some 120 Preatorians to a buddy, he might take some inspiration from your work as to use when he begins his painting of them. Nice work.

Sweet.

I don't always get pics of every mini that I paint (especially if I do several similar paintjobs) but I think I have a special place in my heart for Preatorians. I'll make sure to post them up.
