I am new to the necron army just got a mono box when i opened it i realized i didnt have any instructions with it. Also there was no flying base. Am i missing stuff or does it not come with either? Any help would be wonderful

I don't think they have flying bases. I'm not sure about that though. Also, there are no instructions because it isn't exactly hard to assemble. It's a plastic block, for crying out loud.

They might be on the sides of the box. I had the same problem with my Monoliths that came in those Apoc boxes that had two Monoliths per box - no instructions - but they turned out to be printed on the sides of the box.

My suggestion is to get everything off the sprues, build three sides, spray, paint the whole thing, then stick the rest together. Getting the plastic portal in is annoying and you want to have it painted before you go anywhere near it with a green rod.

The portal is also quite dark when all is said and done. I'm wondering if putting some tin foil behind it and then sticking it in would make it brighter - catch the light a bit better without having to resort to actual lighting.

As for the flying base, yes, they can be mounted on flying bases, but given how pathetic flying bases are I would not bother. It's better off on the ground.

The bottom of it has little ~inch risers that represent it's very low hover. If you want to give it a flight base however, I would recomend a clear plastic dice cube to replace the rod. Put a termie sized base on the top of it to fit into the hole on the underside of the Mono and a bigger base you der the cube for balance.

I've never seen a monolith up close (no players at my FLGS) but it seems the monolith would be a bit big for a flying base, so I would take Aduro's advice.
