I've bought many Forge World products over the years, however I've never actually ordered them from their store. Does anyone have experience ordering from FW, know how long it might take to ship to the USA? Anyone have any Death Korps of Krieg stuff for sale,lol?

I've ordered from FW directly many times. The only pieces of advice I can give you are:

1. Expect delays. They're slow, don't care how slow they are, and ringing/E-mailing them will garner no response.
2. Don't choose express shipping. Express shipping doesn't make it any faster, just more expensive. Standard shipping only.

I've made probably close to a dozen orders from FW. No order has taken over 3 weeks to reach me and the quickest got her in under 10 days.

I've had good experiences with them, but I don't order the big stuff like Titans; just upgrade packs, tank modifications, and Vendetta conversion packs.

Maybe it's time we make a Forge World FAQ heh.

Okay, to put it simply:

1) Call ahead, if possible, to check the stock levels on things you want. While this isn't always the greatest idea--it DOES help, if you're planning on making bulk orders. Which brings me to 2...

2) If you know other people interested in making a Forge World order? Get them to go in on the order with you. Make as BIG of an order as possible, and it's almost guaranteed to be filled fairly quickly.

3) Remember that Forge World is a specialist branch. They do NOT keep massive stock levels, and do at times have to break your order up in order to fill it 'best'.
Example: I ordered 10 Respirator upgrades, 3 Special Weapons w/ Respirators, and the Command HQ with Scanner for my Cadians.
They shipped 10 upgrade kits, 1 Special Weapons, and the Command HQ w/ scanner on 7/15/09. They will, however, always put that it's Dispatch Note 1/2 if you have an issue like that to let you know that they ARE fulfilling the rest of the order.

4) If you have an issue with the order, DO NOT EMAIL THEM UNLESS THEY EMAIL YOU FIRST(This only happens if they catch the error on their end, but it WILL happen every so often). Immediately call them, and if you cannot stay up to keep in touch with them, leave them a message with contact info. They WILL get in touch with you, and they will deal fairly with you if there are issues that cropped up.

Small items without many parts do arrive quickly, but ordering something large such as a titan expect something to be missing. Inspect the package closely and email them. It took my friend close to 6 months to get most the parts for his warhound titan. He never recieved all of them.

Also, if the casting is off or the resin is not mixed right email them. They are good about replacing the model or part no matter what it cost. My warboss on warbike the resin did not cure right and had a cheap walmart toy feel and would not let any paint adhere to it. I emailed them and recieved my replacement within three weeks.

Make sure you keep your invoice until you are completly done building and painting the model because of these issues.

I've never ordered anything from them or bought it indirectly but I might be getting a credit card in the near future so I can see some DKoK or Cadian upgrade packs or renegade upgrade packs in my future

NOOOOOOOOOO! Credit cards are evil! If you want to see what an upgrade pack looks like order the bitz by themselves from a store like BitzandKits.co.uk . This will keep you from wasting your money on intrest payments. Trust me, no one pays off their balance each month. Back on to the subject, I wanted to see what the Cadian Upgrade looked like and ordered one chest from BitzandKits. I am glad I did since the FW upgrade kits are a bit smaller than the normal GW bitz. The chest made the Cadian IG Sgt look like an alien from Close Encounters of the Third Kind. He head was to big and the arms were to long. Plus the chest made him look like he had Ghetto Booty! I could have put a boombox and six pack of beer on his butt. So, before you go opening up a credit card to go down this resin filled crack habit try small samples such as this.

FW has always dealt very fairly with me. Issues I've had included missing pieces, poor sculpts, and a decal sheet that got wet because it wasn't actually packed in the plastic wrap and got rained on. They've ALWAYS fixed things for me promptly.

I also highly recommend calling them before hand about stocks. I placed my DKoK orders months in advance of the IG codex and had serious issues getting troops. My latest order of artillery took months because they were out of stock. However, everything ALWAYS shows up. Lastly, I've called up there numerous times to check on orders and never had an issue. Emailing hasn't worked though.
