I've run firefox for a long time, but of recent some things just seem crazy slow in it or difficult to open. Facebook doesn't seem to like it one bit. I occasionally open my task manager and see it's using up 250,00k or higher. I do like firefox for it's security aspects and interface but what to others think about it?

I've used nothing else at home for a few years. I use IE at work, and I feel it is far inferior. Safari is just plain awful and I have tried no other browsers.
I have no speed issues, certainly not with Facebook, which I am on almost constantly. I also have good streaming from BBC News.

I'm using Firefox for a while now though I am noticing slowdown in starting it up the first time after a complete system reboot.

Im happy with FF at the moment, however, the flash player keeps messing up and means i need to reinstall it every week or 2.
But 0.3 second page loads, never had any other problems with it as a rule.

I use Firefox at home and Internet Explorer at work, I tried Chrome but it didn't seem any better than Firefox. I may have another look at Chrome in a year when the Chrome OS is released.

No problems with firefox here.
No issues with facebook (some apps don't run, but that's a cookie issue and I don't actually want them anyway).

I've used firefox for years on both windows and linux, no problems. I much prefer it to the blasphemy that is IE.
Perhaps it has more to do with your individual computers rather than firefox?

For PCs I use Firefox, Macs I use Safari. I like em both just the same.
I wish those chinese hacker kids would finally get their act together and destroy IE once and for all.

Firefox on Windows is good but suffers from two main issues:
1. Memory usage can go very high if left open. Close it periodically and you should be fine.
2. Plugins can cause the app to be unstable. Flash player runs poorly and eats up lots of resources. Try running Flashget and ad blocker.
Chrome is a good browser too, but I need IETab to tell the corporate network into thinking I am running IE6.
I can't stomach Firefox on Mac. I prefer Camino and Safari.

Firefox is better than IE by a very long way but I've been using Opera for a decade now and I consider it one of the best available. My only gripe with Opera is that it has some issues with Facebook but that looks like it has been fixed with version 10s release, w00t!
I used to use Firefox just to use Facebook, but no more! Hurray!
