Hydras, Medusa, Manticores - there really are some nice choices for your Mech IG armee...
Is there anyone in 40k-world who ever seriously considered spending 120p on a Devildog?
If so, please tell me.
Right now, for me there is no vehicle that makes less sense in deploying in any other army.

1. meltA's (not melters) are very good in the current metagame
2. its army or armies not armee
3. there are plenty of horrible choices in various codices, spawn for example
4. dont use colours in posts other than for emphisis on certain words, it hurts my eyes :(

Yes but a Blast Meltagun that scatters an average of 4" 2/3rds of the time? There are better ways to get Meltaguns.

Well, if I wanted this type of response I would have opened a threat named: respond and get extra points on your language teacher exams

The point was finding anything positive about the Devildog, maybe there is nothing, except for speed

The point of most threads is it's ability to be read and understood.

Devildogs are very situational and have their uses.

I'd much rather drop the extra 24 points on a hellhound with hull MM: a virtually unassaultable* S6 heavy flamer that can be angled however you like? golden. A Backup multimelta with a 24" threat range? icing.

*by that I mean you're a doofus for moving less than 12" a turn, which means hitting on 6s. The range on the inferno cannon is 12" meaning if you can eyeball the 13-15" range area, any non-fleet infantry (read: most people) will never make to you. Heavy flaming OVER your 55 pt guardsman picket line is good too.
