I am re-entering the forums quietly and here as I am no longer employed by GW and can talk freely. I am going to participate in 'Ard Boyz for the first time ever in fantasy and was wondering what armies everyone is taking or considering. I love my Daemons but it seems everyone is taking those. I am also considering my 5 stone thrower orc army.

Dark Elves.... because that's the only army I have that can get 3000 points. If the new skaven book was to be out already and I sold enough unused stuff by then, maybe that, but alas, I will wield Dark Elves.

Daemons, because they're fun for all!

I chose Warriors of Chaos, as they are my team.

Couple of things to consider here for yourself. First, which army do you enjoy playing more? Second, this is ard boyz, a nutz kicking, no holds barred cheese fest, so which dont you mind getting knocked around with? Thirdly, how comfortable are you with Fantasy Rules?

If you are iffy on any of those, well, Daemons are an incredibly powerful, almost foolproof force that you can slap people around with a modicum of experience and do well...but if you want a challenge, play something else.

I myself have NEVER played in a fantasy tourney, and I have decided to take the plunge and play in ardboyz this year, and yes, im bring the most nutsack slapping daemon army i can think of...played it a few times in warm up games, and I was disgusted with myself! So....thumbs up for the ard boyz!
