I clicked this thinking it was going to be a Whiskey Outpost type of game where you roll up into a small fort with turret guns n such and suddenly get attacked by massive waves of Bugs, er I mean Tyranids. Still, this is cool too.

Although I'm laughing at the article being so ecstatic about it being free. This is PC gaming, of course it is.

Short of full on expansions and subscriptions for MMOs of course. Although those are a special case, since servers do cost money. Even then, MMOs get content updates for free.

Sounds like DOTA for DOW2... which isn't a bad thing, seeing as I HATED DOW2. Yeah, sure, they tried a new formula compared to conventional RTS's. But the resource system was irritating, the fact that assault units (Tyranids bread and butter) was gimped and you could get kited around forever, and the fact things like Fexes died so easily really irritated me. I loved the original DOW and wish they woulda did 2 in the same vein as it!

Expect the worst in all things, and you wont be dissappointed when things go awry haha.

This is dawn of war we're talking about brook, the game isnt known for its computer ai. The idea of pairing up with the computer to fight off enemy mobs will probably play akin to doing 2v2 skirmish against the computer controlled enemy with a computer ally-- the only difference is the waves of enemies will be constant. Who knows, maybe it will be fun, but I remain skeptical to say the least.

I was looking forward to this DLC, and I really liked the trailer for it. Then I found out that the Heroes shown in the trailer are the only heroes that you can play in Last Stand.

Little bit dissappointing (was gonna play Farseer anyways, mind you), but I was hoping for more choice.
