Greeting's, long time lurker, First time poster here.
I would just like some feedback on this short list As i've gone from playing Death korp's To ork's and i dont quite really know what im doing
HQ:
Warboss;- 'uge Choppa, Twin linked Shoota, Cybork body, Attack Squig, Bosspole, 'eavy armour - 105pts
Troop's:
Five Nobz;- Stikk Bommz, Two 'uge Choppa's, Three Power klaws, 'eavy Armour, Waaargh Banner. - 230pts
Twelve Boyz;- Stikk bommz, big shoota, Nob (Bosspole, Slugga / choppa) Trukk (Red paint job, Grot riggers, Stikkbomm chukka, armor plates) - 164
Total 499.

bad
- warboss wo PK, and 5nobz having three? change the ratio! (like 1PK and 3big choppas in 5-man nob mob)
- stikk bommz are a vaste of points in 500 pts game
- big shoota is a vaste of points in trukk-riding mob
- nob in ork mob shoud have bosspole at least, PK is also a nice idea
- trukk is too expensive with modifications, take it crude(max grot riggers)
for 500pts, the best choice is warboss and 2-3 trukks loaded with boyz, each boyz mob having a nob with PK and bosspole

Fixed for you.
Sorry, but I don't like that list either. Your Warboss should have PK in place of 'uge Choppa and your nob squad doesn't need 3 power klaws. 2 or one is enough.
Get a trukk for them if you want to use Warboss and Nobz. Take two of the PKs in nob squad away and you almost have the points for the Trukk.

my quick idea of a 0.5k pts list of orkz
HQ = Warboss - PK, 'eavy armour, shoota-skorcha combi weapon (95pts)
Troops = Ork boyz {#11} - Trukk (101pts)
= Ork boyz {#12} - Trukk, Nob with bosspole, PK, 'eavy armour (152pts)
= Ork boyz {#12} - Trukk, Nob with bosspole, PK, 'eavy armour (152pts)
very speedy list, warboss rides with the mob of 11 boyz in trukk
you advance 18" first turn, your opponent shoots at your trukks (they have a chance to kareeen into enemy's flanks), next turn you complete moving, you can Waaagh! if he hunts down any of your trukks, to get your troops without transport into cc
like it?
edit: it's exactly 500pts, and fields 36 models... WOW

Reson for stikkbommz - I Have a "cover heavy" Board - Stikkbommz Even the playing field when assulting through cover EDIT: Removing the Stikkbombs from the Boyz but keeping the Stikkbomm chukka on the trukk sorts this out
Power claws in the Nob Squad - This i uderstand i'll fiddle with the points and work ina trukk for the WB and Nobz.
Warboss 'uge choppa - I belive im going to keep this until its been playtested (i dont own any orks at this time, just the codex) 6 S8 attacks at I5 Is good On the charge, s7 i 4 normal. Im not a fan of Characters striking at I1 Armour saves or Not
Big shoota in the Boys squad - Granted orks BS of 2 Sucks. But 12 Boys Firing 14 shots before assulting is bound to do something and 5 points for S5 ap5 assult 3 is'nt a waste of points even for a trukk-mob.
Edit: Trukk's wargear Having only an armour of 10, the trukks are not that durable, Having the chance to keep the trukk moving is a godsend in my eyes (armour plates / Grot riggers)

Thats a nice List i should have Pointed out in my first post that when i buy the orks, ill be getting a WB with Uge choppa model, box of nobs, box o' boyz, 4 boyz on sprue + trukk, so i can work on a conversion for the warboss using the Nobz bitz.

Nobz Trukk;- Trukk, red paint job, Grot riggers, Stikkbomm Chukka - 50pts
Twelve Boyz;- Nob (Bosspole, U'ge Choppa) - 92pts
Boyz Trukk;- Trukk, Red paint job, Grot riggers, Stikkbomm chukka, armor plates - 60pts
Total: 497
I decided to lose the big shoota to get in moar CC attacks :3 and make room for the Trukk.

this one's better, but remember, you've got only 2 units, well, two AV10 vehicles rushing towards enemy... can you imagine losing half of the nobs and warboss?
i can, pretty easily... it's obvious choice from the two, that the opponent will fire at nobz' trukk, and i am a bit worried about it :(
TBH... in 500pts size games, you should not be bringing expensive units, or specialists that cost a lot of points... e.g. a space marine commander can afford to buy one dreadnought, which is pretty brutal at 0.5k pts, but cannot afford to take LR, as he also has to take two troops and HQ... same in your case, the opportunity to take nobz as troops choice is tempting, however, calculate its (the nob mob) efficiency... when you take them, you rapidly decrease your other squads' numbers, and if THEY are destroyed (which is very likely as enemy will shoot everything to bring them down), you are ****ed
if you want to take a specialist group, try kommandos with snikrot... you can take 10 kommandos and snikrot at 200 pts, still left with 300pts (warboss 100, two mobs of ork boyz at 100pts... listed in my list at the beginning)

I am an ork player and here's my 2 cents about your reasoning for doing what you did...
Stikkbombs - You're initiative 2. You will be fighting last anyways 75% of the time even on a charge that will get you an I3 and assaulting into open terrain!!! Waste of points!
Power Klaw Nobz - This is a must and each nob must have a bosspole in a boyz squad. You will need that extra roll believe me.
Big Shoota - They are only worth it if you're foot slogging. In a trukk your goal is to get up close and personal quick. You're losing 1 attack in close combat. So you MIGHT get 1 wound from the big shoota before assaulting. Mostly they will have a 60% to save it. Dump the gun if riding in a trukk!
Warboss - Power Klaw all the way! Even if you take a wound or 2, when you fight back with your 6 attacks on a charge w/ attack squig, bye bye anything you touch! And "IF" someone brings a 14 armor land raider or something, you'll want that 10str trust me!
Trukkz - 50% chance of being wrecked/exploded so only upgrade you should EVER give them is red paint job. Your opponent WILL penetrate these guys and unless you are throwing trukk after trukk at your opponent, you should just foot slog it and use terrain to get a 4+ save as you advance.
Playing orks, you'll will notice quickly that the shooting phase is pathetic for them. So unless you are running a massive Lootaz list, don't waste your time upgrading gunz unless it's to flamers. flamers are an ork'z best friend!
If running a nob squad, a painboy is a MUST if you run a squad on a 1000pt + army build. You need to give them feel no pain so they have some longevity. At 500pts you don't have the room so...
On a 500pt list I wouldn't roll a nob squad but if I had to I would go with...

Taktica -
The Big Mek with the KFF gives all vehicles within 6" of his trukk a 4+ cover save and a 5+ to the boyz when out of the trukk in the shooting phase. So put a trukk 5.5" on either side of the Mek's trukk and move up together. You have a decent chance of getting all 3 trukkz to your opponent unharmed.
You have 3 scoring squads as 66% of the games will be captures, this will give you a MAJOR advantage.
Have 2 hidden pk in the army so even if fighting terminators or something gross like that, gang up with both pk squads on them. You'd be pleasantly surprised what 80 attacks on a charge of just boyz will do to them. 22 boyz @ 4 attacks each.
88attacks @ 50% to hit...44 hits...
50% to wound...22 wounds!!!
he's bound to lose 2 or 3 termies before he can even fight back. Even on a terrible round of rolling you should still do 10+ wounds...On a good roll...you'll slaughter the entire squad =)

Well I have almost 4000pts worth of Orkz that can be used to play different styles. I win some and lose some. Though I do let my friends form their army around mine before we begin to give me a real challenge and the fact they have 10 years of experience under their belt, I say I do quite well.
Overall Orks are fun to play. I love pulling handfuls of dead orks off the table every round but still knowing that I am winning the battle  Their isn't much strategy to play orks. Move up the table, get into assault. That's it. It's a good army if you're just getting into the game. Their's a comedic aspect of playing them, pretty much every unit in the codex are boyz (just different equipment). I am now finding myself wanting to play an army which requires honed tactics to win a battle. For that reason I am currently building a 2000pt Grey Knights army.
All in all, I sum Orks up like this....
Are you a checkers or chess guy?
If checkers, then Orkz are IT!
If chess, then you WILL get bored with them!

500pt Army I do pretty well with. You can bounce the Big Mek into any group you need to and use the Killer Kan for LoS. The grotzooka is surprisingly potent in a 500pt game. The above speed freak army is well done. This is just the foot sloggin version I like using. Nothing like seeing your opponent squirm as you close in on them. Then again same is said about a trukk ramshackling his way to ya as well.
