Taken from another forum so I can't take credit for it, though it did cause quite a stir of debate so thought I'd share this question.


A boeing 747 is on a conveyer beltand moving at full speed. The belt is moving at the same speed as the 747 but moving in the opposite direction.

Will the 747 take off? Discuss

well considering it's the jets that move it forward and not the wheels, yes. The wheels will just spin faster.
