So i recently went to warhammer world, and ordered TONS of stuff.

One of which was Space hulk.

Got 2.

So what is you best/worst GW Mix-up

worst - ordered 2 bastion stronghold sets, got none of them in the post. phone up and asked where they were and was sent 1 bastion and several aegis defense lines. phoned up again and asked where the rest was. Was informed " we didnt think you wanted the rest!"...

worser - crappy blastscape scenery. Arrived smashed to pieces. I called them up and they offered to send out replacements! I declined and asked for a replacement product as compensation.

Better - They sent me a "shrine of aquilla" for free!

Ordered two blisters of Spore Mines. Got two GK Psycannon Terminators.

To this day I cannot explain that.

The Tau Piranha snafu...
If you were lucky and got some of the 3 packs for $60 on the splash release every thing was ok.

If you got the singles , the sensor probe fro the front was not cast correctly in the US.... GW knew about it, you just had to call and they would send out replacement kits...

I ended up with 8 of the single boxes , and one of the 3 packs.

GW ran out of room in the Huge Tau army box with the release on the new dex. They left out 1 Xv-8 due to the space issue... If you contacted your retailer or gw they sent out 2 Xv-8s for the mistake... and the crappy Vespid.. ( jk LOL)

ok mixup- Got the necron phalanx and it was missing the sprue for the sides of the monolith but got an extra sprue for the front/back. I called them up and they sent me a new monolith. Then because of that I had almost enough parts for a second 'lith and just bought them on ebay for $14.

Hah. I ordered an IG heavy weapons sprue, ONE SPRUE, and got the Dark Angel Veterans boxed set.

Are these orders called in or are they online orders?

I ordered two dark eldar raiders through my FLGS and both had miscasts of the pilots (they where missing a leg). Called GW and they sent me two full raider kits! Made me a VERY happy customer, kinda pissed off the warriors I stole the legs from to fix the other pilots though.

In the spirit of the thread title, here is a single 'best' for each category.

Good: Ordered 1 Imperial Strongpoint - they sent 3.

Bad: A blister that I'd ordered came unglued while shipping and parts were missing. GW customer service replaced the blister and the replacement blister also was unglued, but nothing was missing. Really, there has been no bad - the worst was mild inconvenience. Say what you will about the rest of the company, but GW customer service does well.

Ugly: I bought Nagash and I didn't even play Undead or WHFB. I still don't know what I was thinking.

An old one... I ordered this one archival miniature. When it arrived it had been sent in a padded envelope which had developed a nice marine sized hole at one corner. When I called for a replacement they said the mold was spent and there were no more. All they could do was give me a refund. *single emo tear of blood*

Well I got one of the 1st Baneblade kits and it was missing a the whole sprue with the turret, they sent me a whole nother Baneblade, been waiting to bust out the plasticard to finish the second.

Customer service has been nothing but great from GW.

I bought the old Imperial Elector Count on Griffon on discount from my FLGS. This was stock that had been sitting there for years. It came with a miscast wing. GW replaced the wing straight away.

I bought a NIB callidus assassin on Ebay for $1. It had a miscast in the braid. GW sent me another.

GW does a very good job of fixing their mistakes, IMHO.

I don't really have nay worst. But i do have a best. I was waiting for a digital camera I bought off the interwebs to come in. So one day I get a call from a guy downstairs with a package for me. Thinking it was my camera I go downstairs get the package bring it up.

Wasn't the camera it was 2 ogre chars and about 70$ in bases.

Some how the local game store in town ordered this stuff and it got put into my account for some god knows what reason. I got to keep the models and bases. That was a good day ^ ^

Worst: Ordered some replacement foams for my normal case from GW, got a huge box with 4 of the grey cover inserts instead. Gw quickly sent out the right foams.

Best: Ordered 2 Terminator squads from the black reach set off Ebay (for $13 each), got 2 full sprues of the assault termies instead. Happy day.

Worst: Once had those metal Chaos Flesh Hounds , only came with right side ( doubled )
phoned GW, they said they'll send extras so im able to use up the extra ride sides.

Now im stuck with 4 right side and still no left side....

Never phoned them again -_- ....

Ordered three boxes of those snap-fit Chaos Warriors (three guys in each), and got three normal Chaos Warrior boxes. I complained and I still got my snap-fit boxes.

When I saw "mix-up" I thought it meant like scuffle. :(

I was never crazy about GW's customer service n Canada. I wasn't shocked to see they had closed some shops and moved the whole operation to the states.

The same thing happened to me. I told them I only needed the sprue, and they said they would send it to me. 3 Weeks later, I called and asked where it was as it hadn't arrived yet. They sent me a new Baneblade. The sprue came in the mail a day after the new Baneblade. Ka-CHING!

I also got the Ork Spearhead, and I was short 1 Tankbusta arm so they sent me a new box of Tankbustas.

One of our LGS went out of business, and I pretty much bought tons of stock. The Orc Battle force has some miscast Orc Boys, and they sent me a new box.

I was pretty unhappy with them recently, but I can't really complain given the other luck I've had. I primered pretty much an entire Warriors of Chaos battalion with Skull White. It bubbled, and the models don't look too good in person. I emailed and asked what they could do about it, considering I had less than a week to get these done and I was down to the wire and upset. They told me to scrub them with water and a toothbrush.

Best one my friend got was during Apoc. He ordered the Dread Mob or whatever the deal was - 6 Kanz and 3 Deff Dreads for a fairly decent discount. It shows up and there are only 3 Kanz. So he E-mails them and tells them that he didn't get 6 Kanz, he only got 3. What he neglected to mention was the fact that they'd sent him six Deff Dreads. So the end result was 6 Kanz, 3 Deff Dreads (at a good discount) + 3 free Deff Dreads.


Mattlov - Already gave them to one of the people in our group who plays GKs.

I once did an order for a bunch of metal bitz plus some Necromunda gang packs. They sent me a Whirlwind turret sprue and I have no idea why. I didn't order it. It didn't come in stead of something else. It was just extra!

Wife secretly orders a swath of OOP marines for my BA. This is part of my Christmas for that year. As Christmas is coming around she is frothing at the mouth and wont say why. Eventually it all comes spilling out that the stuff was suppossed to be there in OCTOBER, and come Dec 20 it wasn't there. I called GW after Christmas, and explained. They freaked out, sent a new order. That never arrived. I called, not to complain, but to inquire as to the status; the guy on the phone sees there was some problem with the second order and sends out a third. I tell him it's not necessary if the things are on the way; lets wait and see if they show up. He insists. One week later all three sets show up. It turned out to be almost 40 marines.

Bought a Falcon. Miscast bubble on the front wingtip. I call, and the goob on the phone tries to talk to me about an "öpportunity to model some battle damage!". I tell him I'm not 10 and ask him to send the part.

Called about bases for some jet bikes. Found out they were suppossed to be on small clear bases, not large. Made them ship me the small ones for replacement as all mine were large.

These days, I can't get them to ship me parts. Evidently they have me on some kind of list. Now, I have to ship them the part in question, and they will determine what they want to do about it, or so I have been told. Maybe I was an asshat (I did get kinda pissed at the jerkoff blathering at me about battle damage on the falcon), but everything I have called in was legit. These days I just go through my FLGS, but it's annoying to have been "listed".
