What do you think is a better unit for the points. Terminators are 50 pts each and meganobz are 40. I'd say that neganobz are a better deal since they have 2 wounds and are tougher, but terminators are braver and have a better BS.

Termies are also 40pts. They have the same surviability, (5+ invulnerable vs. 2 wounds) termies have ATSKNF, so win out in morale department, they are also shootier, and have access to better upgrades. IMO termies win

Oops, I just noticed that terminators are 40 points. I'd agree then.

I like Nobz myself. They don't get punked by normal units when you roll horribly (I.E. I lost 3 terminators making 4 saves vs normal SM's in CC... fail). Also, you can get Nobs FNP with a Painboy, which I reckon is AWESOME. 2 wounds and FnP means you won't get owned so often. Also they have the same base stats as termis, but way more attacks! So Nobz!

Meganobz have more attacks i think and can deal a lot of damage to almost anything.

Meganobz can't get painboyz. But I was thinking today that both units are about equal. Nobz are harder to kill. The nobz are better at cc while the terminators are braver and better at shooting. The nobz can get kombi-burnas and rokkits which are useful but a step below terminator weapons.

well if 5 assualt termies charge 5 meganobz the nobz will be dead with likely no attacks back. Termies can deepstrike in and shoot if your using the shooty termies. Meganobz get to ride in an open top truuk, which is the way to go for me. I give all my Meganobz combi-skorchas they kill alot of stuff with those. But generally if their is a unit of termies on the table my nobz will not go towards them. I use mine more for anti-tank and back line disruption.

They are approximately equal, but meganobs stand up better against normal attacks because of their 2 wounds.
Terminators vs Insta gib, Ap2 or power weapons, meganobs vs everything else.

Mega Nobz can get Feel No Pain if they accompany Mad Doc Grotsnik. And Cybork Bodies by being in the same army. Automatically Appended Next Post: Also, something to consider is that Mega Nobz are Slow and Purposeful, while Terminators cannot engage in a Sweeping Advance.

Termintors against Meganobz:
+ 5++ inv save
+ better BS
+ Better Ld
+ ATSKNF
+ Better Weapon Options (Assault Cannon, Heavy Flamer, Cyklone Missile Launcher against Kombi-skorcha, kombi-rokkit)
- Less attacks
- must get Land Raider to transport where Meganobz can ride in a Trukk
- Have no way to get FNP
So yeah, Terminators are usually way to go but I still would like to use Meganobz against anything else besides Terminators and C'tan
EDIT: I think this shouldn't be in Proposed Rules?

Statistically I would rather have the Terminators just because of the range of good weapons and assault equipment they can have.
However there is no getting away from the fact that with only 1 wound they are a liability for a 40 point model. Personally I try to avoid where possible having a squad
made up of 40 point 1 wound models. The cost only climbs as you kit them out as well.
2 wounds provides a redundancy to the more common weapons in the game as well as the current tactic of target saturation. In many ways it is the same as with Tyranid warriors who are even worse due to being synaptic and having 2 wounds.
So in the end I would rather choose the Meganobz

I think both are excellent units. Terminators are much more popular, judging by the number of SM or CSM players running them compared to the number of Ork players running MANZ.
My experience playing both termis and manz is favorable; but I'm going to go with CSM terminators for their flexablility and the ability to take marks.

Slow and purposeful is the greatest drawback it makes them just plain suck when there transport gets blown up. Also feel no pain is no use on the weapons which crack open 2+ saves. Terminators are clearly by a large margin better

Except that you can't take terminators when playing an ork list.

MegaNobs can be better with the cybork from Mad Dok. They go same time at init 1 vs reg termsie minus the sarg and I've rarely had him kill one as the wounds can be spread around. 5 on 5 the Mega usally takes out all the Termies and 2-3 Mega are left in my experiance. If they can get there. I find they can take out a unit better then the termies point for point. The issue is their speed. If the Enemy takes out the transport they can almost ignore them. The Deep strike is a huge thing going for the Termies, plus you can always give them a Drop pod and/or use a beacon on them for no mishapes.
I think the Assult Termies can be better then them 5 on 5. Especially for Black Templars as they can have Furious Charge and then they hit with S5 with reroll on LC.
It also depends on if any IC are with them. A chaplain really boosts the termies but if you throw Ghaz in there for the orks he can sometimes take all 5 himself on a charge.
I saw someone mention FNP from Mad Dok and that ani't going to help with the Termies and if they are in a transport then he is not needed with them IMO.
