Just wondering if you could do me a favour. I have a 1/35 STRV 103 S Tank coming to me soon, and I wanted to check it's size against the Old Crow Sabre and a Leman Russ.

I am trying to decide what kind of turret I want to kit bash onto it, and since you have a few, it would make my life a whole lot easier to see which one fits best at what scale.

If you're able to put the new turrets and the point weapon defense systems next to it, that would be even better.

Ah, i have a 1/35the scale "S" tank, it is about landraider sized, and i placed a spare Railgun in place of the 105mm gun(GW guns are ridiculously huge for the scale!)

But to slap a turret on it, I would say the Sabre Turrets as well as the Crossfire and or the more standard dual weapon turrets would work, the smaller point defense units would be more small as the STRV-103 at that scale of 1/35 is a BIG bugger.

Dangit, there goes my hope for using it to replace the Russ.

I use my S-Tank as a second Valdor heavy anti-tank gun.

Russ sized 1/35 scale tanks would be the WW-2 "Light" tanks, like a PzKpFw-III or the T-26, some folks have used 1/48 scales KV-1 and KV-2 as alternate Russes.

I am looking for a more modern looking army, so I will probably grab the Merkava Mk I in 1/48 to use as a Russ replacement, and the Merkava Mk IV in 1/35th as a Baneblade etc.

Good idea on using the STRV 103 as a Valdor. It should suit well enough to be used as a Malcador Infernus and other similarly sized vehicles then.

The 1/48 KV 2's do work well in scale as far as I have seen. I am wondering how the US Stryker's work scale wise at 1/35. Might have to take a punt and buy one to see.

Have you seen the resin miniatures from www.antenocitisworkshop.com? I think those would be right up your alley as well. As an added bonus, you could mix and match turrets from the Old Crow stuff as you need.

I am thinking I might get some of the Hunchbacks as APC's for my upcoming armies. I wonder how well they'd scale in. Would be worth checking out.

All good ideas. That hunchback is meant to be used with the 25-30mm range minis so it would work.

Well vik, i just posted up my most recent scratch build, of a pretty standard looking basilisk. Though since my plasticard skills have greatly improved over before i think i will be venturing moreso into doing a handful more of the Trucks that i had made up before.

Possibly Maybe a thought in my head to start up a Long term ultra-super-mega Heavy tank. just something SO over the top. Im still in the awful doodles stage with that project though haha.
