i have had an idea for a great tyranid conversion, but i dont do tyranids and was wondering whetgher anyone else has done this so i can seee a pic. ook, basically, its a giant lictor. you take the carnifex set and assemble the legs as normal. then you take the torso and instead of putting it on crouching, you use green stuf to make the body stand up. then covert some bottom arms and use scything claws as the lictor big top claws, and convert a feeding tendrils head. has anyone heard of this idea b4?

It would look way too bulky, IMO. As well, the Carnifex torso standing straight up would overbalance the heck out of it and it would tip over backwards every time you set it down. Scything Talons aren't big enough to work either. Lictor talons stick out like 3 inchest above it's head. Scything talons have a long blade, but their actual limb sections aren't long enough.
I think the Lictor looks fine as it is really. A Fex' just wouldn't look right in the role. Too bulky, not enough slim lanky sneakiness.

Horrific Hive Tyrant

Ill dig out pics of mine soon, need to hunt through pisc anyway.
But mine was fairly simple really.
Fex legs and body (legs had been cut and straightened to make it a good deal taller)
The body had been possitioned upright aswell.
Head was a basic fex head with the lower jaw section removed and feeder tendrills added (from GS)
His rending claws started life as the crushing claws, but with spare parts and GS they ended up looking like huge rending claws.
His talons were made about 2" longer using plasticard.
They were also set back to resemble the lictor more.
I used GS to copy the tail tip from the lictor model.
Giant flesh hooks were added using random parts again.
Didnt look too bad overall, it stood about 2" - 3" taller than a basic fex from foot to head, and about another 3" from head to talon top.

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor. |

ZING!
Seriously though, that's a scary looking Lictorfex. And that wierd looking anime terrain... Add some craters and skulls to make it more grimdark and that'd be a sweet terrain piece
