Cockpit and crew is a nice touch. Good use of old paint pots by the way, pretty clever
Any chance in another image with a standard mini for size comparison?
Overall, good job.

I think you did a damn fine job, if I do say so myself. All the extra bits do really add the imperial flavor to the battletech mech (I don't recognize the variant, which one is this? Look almost like an IS Orion but its been far too long since I've played Battletech myself... before the Wizkids takeover).
I agree, the paint pots weapon looks superb. A+ conversion, in my book!

I think it's a summoner or a thor.

The 'boltgun' paint on his arm cannon made me lol
On topic, good work! Which mech are you chopping up btw? Could help you decide what kind of titan it will end up being.

From memory, Summoner/Thor was the same mech - just the Clan/IS designation.
Is the height of your mech around the 10" or so?
Does it have two large arm weapons?
This will do fine.
If it is taller (say 15"), add a large missile pod and call it a Reaver.
The old 1/72 scale mechs I used to play with were about 8" tall (Shadowhawk/Battlemaster/Archer).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.
That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

Hmm... summoner or thor? Doesn't look tall enough and big enough in the torso. Maybe a Loki though. I could see that.

Well I finally got around to taking some shots of it. I still may add some more detail later on but for the most part I'm done.

That's such a beautiful paint job. If you brought that to a game of Apocalypse I wouldn't doubt it for a second.

I find it still hard to believe that by simply adding some 40K bits and two paint pots -brilliant use, by the way- you have turned a toy into a highly advanced Knight Titan/warhound titan. I love it!

Looks freakin' fantastic. Also, a really good deal on that mech, they go for about a hundred bucks normally, so I suspect you got it from someone who didn't know what they had. Good buy!
Also, this thing looks awesome! You could probably stat is as a warhound (as I'm guessing that he's about 12 inches tall.), and thus you could just make it a "counts-as" Warhound. I wouldn't mind seeing the Thor out there on the grimdark battlefields of the 41st millennium shoot'n up some guardsmen.

I figuer I'll just call it a knight but use the warhound rules because they're the closest thing to it.

very well done, I 'm happy to know that I'm not the only one who used one of this, though mine sitting in a basement some where in new york waiting for me to return and finish its pait job. though you put mine to shame, loled at how we both used the Leman Russ Dozer blades for the same arm. but seeing the finished product only makes me want to finish my own that much faster.

Although the conversion is pretty good, I can't help but think it's a waste for a nice old battletech kit.
But then, battletech was my first love
Nice work, looks convincing, altough the cockpit doesn't seem to Imperial to me, a bit too high tech
