Not sure if this issue has been addressed before or not (although having said that, it must have been!). I have an almost complete Nids army now and am looking for some storage / transportation suggestions. I have several of the standard GW produced army cases but I find them almost unusable for Nids since the models are so spiky, fragile and not really of a uniform shape and size. Surely I am not the first to have this problem so I was wondering if anyone can offer some tips or alternatives?

Ditto.

I've gone magnetic. I buy metal tool boxes like the bottom one on this page (the foam comes out) and put rare earth magnets on the models. That way they don't move and don't get stuck on each other. That case is just over 4" deep and can hold my fexes and tyrant.

I use army transport. The 1" foam for the terma/spine gaunts. 2" foam for the dev/horma gaunts (i stand them up). And then 4-6" foam for the warriors/carnies/hive tyrants. Works great. I fit 100+ gaunts, 12 warriors, and 6 MC's into one of the larger Army Transport bags.

Sabol army transport cases are of good quality. If you have money to burn, Battlefoam is definitely worth it though. They're the Cadillac of transport cases.
