Hey all,

I bought space hulk today to play with some friends and we had a couple games today. I had a couple questions tho, it doesn't address in the book weather or not the genestealers may move the turn their blips flip. We assumed they could and played as is. Also, for overwatch, do you shoot for EVERY action? So say a genestealer opens a door, moves, and assaults. Does that mean you get 3 shots at it prior to the assault?

Thanks in advance guys!

It does addess the movement after revealing blips: you can only move the genestealers if the blip didn't move prior to being revealed. Also, you can't voluntarily reveal the blips if you already moved them.

So you'll have to think ahead if a blip is going to be in line of sight of a terminator, and if so, reveal it beforehand if you want to continue moving it.

And yes, in your example, you'd get 3 shots. Also note that while turning is a free action after moving for a genestealer, this is still considered an action for the purposes of overwatch.

I was under the impression you did it after the genestealer completed their action, so you would not get a shot prior to assault? This is clarified with the example of a genestealer moving out of LOS, but I believe the example is fairly general.

Yeah, assuming its the guy on overwatch getting assaulted,it would only be two shots, as getting assaulted would knock him off overwatch.

And were it someone else, you would get two shots, and a third after the assault, would you not?

Ah, so the assault would not count then? we thought it did, so everytime we got close the genestealer would normally die (yay for persistant fire)

I like to block LOS with one and then go around with other genestealers. It's fairly effective, even against assault cannons. The drawback is if the SM player can hole up really effectively.

It counts as an action (and would trigger OW fire from any other guys with LOS, but doing anything, including being attacked in assault, breaks you out of overwatch.

I thought that you didn't get the persistant fire bonus on overwatch? So, for a storm bolter on overwatch you'd *always* need a 6, etc?

The bit stuck on the side of England. Wales isn't it.

Yes you do get persistant fire on overwatch. Just read it.

On overwatch you get a shot for every action done, for moving, turning and opening doors, if they assault I don't think you get a shot though...

Also, every blip has 6 action points so we work it as if the blip moves 3 and reveals then the genestealers get 3 action points left to spend

This should probably be moved to the skirmish scale games section, as it is a different game than 40k.

You need LOS to an action-completing Genestealer to shoot, do you not? So couldn't I block a corridor and move around behind it, as long as no other overwatch/CP marines can see me?
