ok i picked nids but now feel like i picked the wrong army i felt this same feeling after picking lizardmen. Have any you guys ever like this because i would like a strong tough closed combat army with at least a little shooting ya any advice? ya i was looking at black templars but since im only 15 my mom would not be happy to find out i wasted 65 dollars and want to try a new army yaaa

Nids are a great army, they just feel inferior at present due to the limitations of their codex.

basically if you play nids, get lots of Gaunts, Carnifexes, Warriors, and genestealers. They are a blast in CC, probably the best army there is due to how powerful they are (and how many MC's we get).

I picked them first, they look amazing, just don't expect to wow any audiences until you have a decent sized army lol. Nids are good, don't give up on em yet

Bugs are great in cc and can also be a pretty shooty army if you want them to be. You'll need lots of gaunts as they are your basic troops thus your game winners for taking objectives. Your MC's are great in CC against everything short of Abaddon and also are good at letting your gaunts get to combat by absorbing most of the opponents shooting. I'd recommend at least 2 20 man units of gaunts (for smaller games) anything over 1000 Points and you'll want more or some stealers. I'd suggest a winged tyrant with VC as he'll be great in assaults and can provide some shooting to break transports so the little bugs can attack what's inside. Also Carnifex' are great in cc but are slow so I'd give them BS's as they are S8 large blast templates. You'll need 2 tyrants or 1 tyrant and some warriors to keep your little bugs from running like scared girls. But at least 2 units of synapse, at least 1 fex, and then get lots of gaunts and maybe a unit of stealers so they can operate outside of synapse range for the far away objectives. Hope this helps.
