Instead of buying a whole new army (re: BA idea I had floating around... stupid Space Hulk Terminators are so sexy), why not use stuff I have? Here's a list I threw together using the models I have.

Daemon Prince
Wings
Mark of Khorne

Chaos Lord
Terminator Armour
Lightning Claws
Mark of Khorne

4 Chaos Terminators
Lightning Claws
Icon of Khorne
Land Raider

8 Possessed
Champion
Icon of Khorne
Rhino

8 Khorne Berzerkers
Champion
Power Fist
Melta Bombs
Rhino

8 Khorne Berzerkers
Champion
Power Fist
Melta Bombs
Rhino

Now I've also got 5 Bikes kicking around, but I don't think they are worth it for the points. I also have about 6 more Terminators with pretty much any weapons configuration I require. I also really want to use the Possessed . So the main problem I'm facing here is obviously tanks. Furious charge helps a bit, and so do meltabombs, but that only goes so far (ie, close combat). The Daemon Prince is going to hide his ass behind the Land Raider (and will actually fit because of the model I'm using, hehe) so I'm hoping that he won't die right away. My main opponents are Orks, Space Marines, Tau, and Necrons (hehe). None of which really have that much armour.

I was considering dropping the LR for those bikes I was talking about and give all the champions an icon so I could DS them in. The problem with that is when they finally manage to become available, they can't assault and thus will stand there like idiots while they get shot to pieces.

Any tips/thoughts for this army?

SM, Tau, Orks and Necrons usually bring loads of tanks, or are you just lucky in that you local opponents havent cottoned on to how good their vehicles are yet?

Does your army have to be pure khorne? It would be more powerful if it had other elements but a khorne theme. Not necessarily other cult troops or marks just thinks like oblits for some extra ranged power.

Your demon prince for example. MoK is the worst option to give a demon prince because it restricts its access to psychic powers. It would be better to have an unmarked prince with warptime (call it 'Fury of Khorne') than a prince with MoK.

Chaos lords arent that good. They just arent as killy as demon princes, but cost about the same price. Demon princes can also kill tanks.

Possessed are terrible. Not knowing what ability they get until after deployment really hurts them. Its better to drop them for some oblits to give you more long ranged firepower or another squad of berzerkers.

I wouldnt bother with the bikes. In the current codex they are too expensive for too little power.

If you took out the landraider you would need to completely change your terminators, and if you have them modeled already its more effort than its worth.

All in all a good start.

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live?

All my opponents have themed armies and none of them are heavy on armour... which ends up being good for me. For example the SM player is doing a scout force.

I always called this edition of the codex 'the Eldar of Space Marines', since the cult marines remind me of aspect warriors.

On my other lists, that's the way I usually play it. There's a good possibility I'll switch it back to that. To be honest I can't remember why I changed it for this list.

If I dropped him, I could just change him, I could just add another Terminator to the unit. Good for about 100 extra points.

I wouldn't really call them terrible. When you look at it, they aren't that bad at all. This is probably the only regard in which I don't mind a bit of randomness (it is Chaos, after all).

That's what I was thinking. Kind of unfortunate since I have so many. Why I bought them is beyond me!

Luckily their arms are magnetized. However I have always wanted a crazy lightning claw squad.
All in all a good start.

Thanks!

So if I drop the Lord and added a 5th Terminator in that unit, gave the DP Warptime instead of the MoK, I have 85 points left. I don't want to change the Possessed because personally I think they're worth it. If I had 20 points I could create a Termicide unit which is apparently very effective (I've yet to try it out). The problem with that is I'd A) have to find 20 points, and B) give every unit a personal icon. 1 Obliterator isn't really going to make a huge impact so I definitely won't take one of those. *ponders*

What else could I take to make this a bit more effective?

Hehe thanks. Yeah that's what it means alright! Like I said though, it would be hard to fit them in somewhere. But ever so useful... hmm! *ponders more*

Apparently I added something wrong. I was too busy making SM lists that I added the LR at 250 points instead of 220.

...so I have 116 points left, which opens some doors, haha.

Termicide is a definite possibility now!

I would drop a squad and rhino
Add a Pred instead with some antitank range weapons

You will have problems with no range anti tank in DOW & pitched-battle IMO

I try and run a pure Khorne list too, and I've had fair success (even though I repeatedly pound my demon-weapon using head into the wall). In my opinion, with pure khorne your HQ is the biggest liability in the list, period. I would run the warptime DP or like a power armor lord mixed in with the berzerkers. Anybody had good experience with Kharn? I've never got around to using him.

You want a termicide unit, but there is no way you wanna mark a unit that's gonna explode. I've deployed and equipped an 8 man like termicide and it does pretty well. It's usually big enough to DS and get the shot, and survive enough shooting to still get an assault. YMMV

My favorite antitank for Khorne isn't oblits, but CCW defilers and more powerfists. Battlecannons if you want them, 6 attacks and fleet if you don't.

My 2 cents
