But i have some trubble seeing detail on the commisar since his color is so much alike the color on the tank.

I love it! XD Though I think it needs a dozer blade on it, and upon that dozer blade should be crudely scrawled: "The enemy is the other way. So turn back around."

If I had more bits I would have used them, the hull does look plain compared to the turret imo.

I really wanted to do a cammissar or storm trooper chimera for my Tallarns. The issue I have is that as much as I would love the look, I think it will be a target in the game, as it will be clearly evident to my opponet as to what is in there but I am digressing.

I like what you did honestly, here is what I think you might coinsider. Personally I think your speaker is way over the top, but to each his own. The whole tank is black, try painting the bolters metal and washing them back down with Badab black to keep your look. Maybe some weather in a brown dirt or mud to break up the look while leaving the tank black. Even some stoage or backpacks in a color other than black from the tank sprue just to break it up a bit.

Like I said I think you did a good job, I just think you can do a bit more with. Hope it helps.

As for weathering, I've never been good at it. It always either goes way over the top or doesn't look real. I like to think that where ever they go my guard have access to wash racks.

I've met real tankers and, and their biggest priority after maintenance is cleanliness. So I think that a commissars tank would always be kept impeccably clean.

I was thinking that I could do the fuel drum mounted on the back in a different color, but I'm not sure what. All the ones I have seen before irl were rusted or blue. And I don't want to use blue, but a commissar wouldn't want a rusted drum either.

Oh and once I find one of the long banners (comes in the SM Vehicle kits I think) I will put it on the front and name the tank. I tried making one from green stuff but didn't like it. I might try and make another but probably later on.

Was thinking Hand of Fate. The commissar would be Commissar Fate, and it would be a play on words because the commissar has a power fist and the tank is named for his power fist.

I already started this on his banner. The pics I have don't show it well but there is a fist on the banner and then the scroll at the top bears the commissars name.

You can make banners from paper. Print a design on the paper and paint it with thinned PVA glue.

Here's the loudspeakers on my Kommissar Kar, one on top of each wheel arch.

They are made from the back of a Landraider searchlight and the top of a Bic pen. I am repainting them grey to make them stand out more.

The flag on the side of the kar is made by printing out onto paper.
