This is just a small exerpt of my daily life. I hate the people that go to my school by the way.

As i sat waiting for the bell to homeroom to ring, a few students sat across from me. A Spanish guy, and a Black guy. I took out a book to pass the time. While waiting I overheard their conversation.

"Yo, you hear that Ryan is going out with Tandrea?" says Spanish dude.
"Yeah, I ain't mad though, I didn't even want dat ho." Notice the use of DAT instead of THAT.
"Sheeit, dude, you deadass. She a taitor to ya race datin a white bread like him." says Spanish dude.

At this point I looked up from my book to see if these guys had recently been struck by a blunt object. Seriously? How stupid are you to say something like that?
Honestly, you're telling me that a white person dating a black person is someone being a traitor to their race? WTF!? How high do you have to get to think like that?
Goddamm I hate stupid people. Can we please authorize a castration of people like this. You know what, I hope that those guys date someone of a different race. And then their family disowns them for the same reason they stated earlier.

Once again, I hate all the Goddam stupid people that go to my school.

I honestly know more people of all races who think this way than don't.

I hate racism of any sort, it is the ultimate embodiment if ignorance.

People like this should think long and hard about the coments they make. Would they turn down life saving treatment from a doctor because they were the wrong colour? Would they stay is a burning building if the fireman who came to rescue them was the wrong colour? Of course not, but maybe if they did the world would be a slightly nicer place.

There is good and bad in all people regardless of race, colour or ethnicity. To insult or attack someone for no ther reason than the colour of their skin is one of the stupidest things I can think of.

The problem with racism is , it goes both ways , Racism isnt just limited to "white" people , but people like to
make it that way because of the slavery issue , a convenient "excuse" to throw accusations around.

I see just as much racist black as white , but no one ever dare to speak against it because they pull
the slavery card every single time. They need to get over that past , and realize the president IS INDEED BLACK .

Obama need to address the issue imo , stop this stupid cycle.

As if that wasn't bad enough, i learned this tidbit from my buddy just a few minutes ago.

At this point I said, though under my breath,

Yeah. I know you're only, what 14, 15, and really haven't had many life experiances, but what the f*ck? It's 2009, the year that the Messiah(Obama) came to us,
and is preparing to lead us into the kingdom of the lord. Seriously? You're telling me, once again you agree with that douche unnamed black guy, and that the girl who's dating a white guy needs to be beat up?

Slightly louder "What the f*ck are you on?"

I was not answered, and they continued with their conversation promoting ignorance and hate.

I really hate the kids in my school. Alot.

Coming from a minority family I can assure you racism is alive and well, although not in the way you think. When my mom was a child and her parents were buying a house there was a big stink in their new neighborhood from the white people there because my mom's family was Mexican, not Italian they thought they were. But as time has progressed the older members of her family have told me, quite often, that the racism that is dished out by white people has dwindle into nothingness, instead it is now replaced by hatred from black people. Let's be honest here, racism is largely driven by socio-economic conditions more then anything else, and this bad economy only makes things worse.

Teens are trying to make sense of life, as well as repeating what they see in media, and in the early stages they make broad, absolute rulings. Black people are like this, white people are like that, ect ect. Nuance and a lack of experience with the world outside of school eludes their grasp. They label and identify things in the simplest of terms and act on those judgments. Of course some people move beyond that sooner than others and some never get past it.

It does show the highest stupidity ever..........

I agree with Luna about the whole slavery thing too. I consider anything which is blaming someone due to their roots and not their own actions is racist. So it is awful for example to have a bad opinion of people due to their relatives being horrible or something like that. I don't get the whole family tree thing too... that is in someways racist - you're looking into your past relatives who you've never met and changing your opinion of yourself as a consequence, thus making an enphasis on roots as aposed to actions etc. It really annoys me... I consider that highly stupid too though I get a lot of harsh words said at me when I mention it to older people...

Even the whole Obama thing is a bit odd. The fact that everyone is thinking of him as "a black president - yay!" is racist in a way - they should consider his policies and ideas, not his ing skin!

Perhaps I should get some Squigs ready to stave off any angry words that might come at me for saying that...



In another note, I know someone who, in her school, most of the pupils (and even I think the teacher of Biology or something ) don't even beleive in evolution - retards!

My girlfriend and I not only compose an interacial relationship of our own,but are both the offsping of interacial relationships,her father is Purto Rican and Jewish and her mother is Black,my father is Native American and my mother German .
Through out the years we have delt with the problems brought on by racism ( from both Black and White people),including fights with skinheads and "gangstaz" and internal problems from family members,I have a cousin who is always trying to "introduce" me to girls (who just happen to be single and White),and her Grandmother still gives me "that look" when ever she visits.
After 10 years we still deal with peoples petty bigotries,especily here in the south,but honestly,unless some one becomes rude or confrontational about the sitiuation,we just let it slide,we have 2 children whom we are rasing to look past peoples color and in to the qaulity of their hearts and minds.

I'm referred to as "White Gorilla" at least once a week by someone. I used to get upset, but it's not worth the time nor effort. My wife took my name when we got married and that raises a few eyebrows metaphorically. I generally don't have a high opinion of the people who try to bring me down, because they suck and they are very insecure due to the magnitude of their sheer suck.

As for the attitudes of people in High School, not to belittle any students here, it's High School. After 2 months of graduating, you'll completely forget about most of those people as you'll be moved from that false microcosm of society.

Eh, I guess it isn't to much to reveal that my wife is African-American, so I've seen it once or twice. Probably the worst being when I wasn't allowed into a club for being white. I'm sure you can imagine the fun her brothers had with that one.

The darker skinned ones in turned called the lighter ones "high yellow" in a derogatory way.

I have a science teacher that is of antiguan descend eventually (something like his grandparents moved to the uk shortly after WW2) who is outragously racist - he refers to everyone in the class exept the two mixed races boys as "whiteys", went on a speech about how white people are inferior to black people and that the chinese were superhuman (WTF?) and then most recently had the balls to moan at the class about how racist the school is...

Dont even get me started on white kids that act black and are racist to white people... they just dont make any fething sense.

I have wondered about the whole black racism thing before, but it is really hard to have a good conversation about it because people truly believe in some of this malarkey. What I find particularly funny is that all white people in this country are usually considered to just be white people, crackers, etc... While blacks have attained some sort of strange super-citizen state, thus "African American".

Now if you do not see the problem with calling all people that look black to you "African American", you need to A.) Get your eyes checked... and/or B.) Take few classes in Human evolution. People are from places on the planet, and as far as I know none of these terms (white, black, etc...) mean a goddam thing.

Saying that Obama being elected is not a pretty monumental occasion is a bit ignorant to U.S. history to say the least. Talking about less than a century ago, this cat would bot have had a chance in the world. Besides this, people who voted for him simply because he was black, need to go back to school and learn some common freaking sense.

Race is probably one of the silliest thing to get in arguments about, mainly because it has so little to do with that subject matter on most occasions. On that same note, saying someone is racist because of their family is passable, but sincerely ignorant to the real problems behind the issues that they complain about. Main point being that Illegal Immigrant does not equal Mexican by default.

Have to call you out a little on this satement,while I agree with you that there is a huge amount of silly suburban white kids who are imulating their "hip hop idols",this really shouldn't be considered "acting Black" as it implies that this behaviore typifies Black people as a whole.

As a Jew, it's always interesting to see that people class Judaism as a race rather than a religion. It's been the same for Muslims of late too. Yet never Christianity, or Buddhism. I wonder why?

Ment no disrespect,simply conveying what my girl told me when we first met,it may,in her case have somthing to do with the fact she's originaly from New York (Brooklyn),and from my understanding Judaism is viewed as a race in many of thoose areas.

Didn't the Jewish people originate in Israel? Historically, politically, and religiously its been a pivotal aspect associated with Jewish people.

It is also pretty hard to define it as something else... but it is still a misnomer. I would be more comfortable calling myself a New York Native than just saying I was Jewish.

Another thing is that there are very clear "Jews" and there are some that are not so clear. Lumping all of them together has as much to do with history as anything else, but that doesn't change the fact that it is still a misnomer.

Nope, it is a mythological construct that was put into action after WW2; at least in that specific context.

Jews have been pushed around for a long time, but that in itself bears absolutely no relevance to the fact that it is still not one single "type" of person. I am Jewish, but I know family members that look more Jewish that I do. So if the only thing I can measure this by is your looks, I am clearly no Jew ... But!!!! I love Latkes... And Ruebens... MMMMMM!!!!
