I've been thinking about how to fill my last Elite slot in my CSM Army, which is a 7-MC mash with NM / PM / KB / CSM / LD Troops and Raptors.

I'm thinking to take a 5-man Chosen squad with max Meltas & Chimera (er, Rhino), but that seems a bit out of place. What do you think?

Chimera? Any way Rhino with 5 melta guns SM, outflanking. Thats one dead enemy vehicle ... but 28pts per model you might want more then just 5 men. Then again 140pts (+35 rhino) could be acceptable as a throw away unit

I only count 3 monstrous creatures Chaos can get (forge world rules aside)

So I guess your definition of MC also includes dreads and defilers...

Like Tri says, outflanking meltas has merit.
Though the 2 soft kill points may or may not be an issue for you.

Yeah, I count the Dreads and Defilers as MCs.

Defilers, you have to - it's in their rules!
