this might be a taboo subject, but my predicament is this...I live in germany and wasn't able to get an english version of space hulk, so i bought the german version. is there a chance to download the english version of the rulebook and mission book. the way i see it, i bought the game and all i want is a copy of the english rules. many boardgame companies publish their rulebooks as pdfs and this is not the same thing as asking for a codex pdf (for the record, I own codices for every army I own and some that I dont).

anybody know what the official ruling on this is??

Not legally.

Though you can probably look around a few not-so-legal places to find scanned copies.

Beyond that there's nothing else I can tell you without incurring a Mod-jerk reaction from one of the staff.

I fail to see how this is illegal. I paid for the game, they have my 80€. I just want a copy of the rules in a different language.

And not to say you're lying, but we have only your word that you bought the game.

The point is, we cannot link to downloadable version of rules, regardless of the reasons.

please don't misunderstand, im not trying to convince anyone to post anything that is illegal. its simply a matter of principle. many boardgame companies post full versions of their rules officially (fantasy flight, days of wonder, etc)

What I ment was ask them if they can send you the English books.

deffo give GW a ring, offer to swap the german rules for the english ones. i reckon they'll say yes.

Definitely call GW and/or e-mail them.

Once when I was trying to find a specific piece about the Relictors (fluff and rules), the fine folks at GWUK photocopied the articles in question and mailed them to me over in the USA.
