Look pretty solid although you've gone wrong on the long fang squads. To take 3 terminator guard with CML would need 2 squads of wolf guard (one at 10 the other at 5 strong) you only have 1 that doesn't even have enough to get the 2 CMLs.

This I Do NOT like. Scouts + Wolf Guard is not only horrible from a Fluff Standpoint, but also if you add a wolf guard, they no longer can infiltrate or outflank, which is the whole point of wolf scouts.

Again, I preffer Pod Lists, but Here I would reccomend Dropping the Power Weapon and taking MotW. Not taking MotW on a Grey Hunter is an unforgivable sin. Grey Hunters, as you know, have 2 attacks "base" (1+1 for 2 weapons). A GH with MotF has D6+1 attacks "base" (as he cannot get the bonus for 1 weapons) and rending. This is in addition to bonus attacks for charging. In Short, you get the same # of attacks 1/6 of the time, and more 5/6 of the time, and they are rending. This is by far much better than a power Weapon, and for the same cost.

Wolfguard are 3-10 right? As others noticed this list may be off.
ALSO, can you get a wolfguard heavy weapon terminator without 4 other wolfguard terminators? My limited look at the book left me with the impression that 4 PA wolfguard + 1 termie wolfguard = no heavy weapons for anyone, while 5 PA wolfguard = 1 PA heavy weapon and 5 termie wolfguard = 1 termie heavy weapon.
Anyone able to get confirmation?
Edit: Also, I thought wolfguard can only get land raiders as dedicated transports... so no rhino.

I have the codex, so I can tell you, there are no PAGW Heavy Weapon Options anymore (mainly because No-one took them). Only WG Termie can take them, and its 1 per 5 models, so 4 PA and 1 Termie gets to take the Heavy Flamer, Asscan or CML Automatically Appended Next Post: DevianID wrote:Edit: Also, I thought wolfguard can only get land raiders as dedicated transports... so no rhino.
You thought wrong WG packs of any size may Take a Rhino, Razorback or Drop Pod as a Dedicated Transport. Also, One Wolf Guard Pack may select a Land Raider (any Type) as a Dedicated transport

No Space Wolf Unit can Combat Squad. Space Wolves lost Combat Squads and Combat Tactics and gained Acute Senses and Counter Attack. Also, long fangs can split fire to 2 different units.

You know what, I keep forgetting to leave room for Elite slots for all my Wolf Guard. It would be fine, if only I had two more Elite slots. Heh. Really, it is such a gimmick move, I will probably toss out some things and revamp the list. Not sure if having those CMLs is worth it or not. I will ponder it and repost a list later on.
@Gwar -
Mark is inferior to a Power Weapon, as has been deduced. The chance to Rend is slim and the idea with a Power Weapon is to ignore the saves, which I will do 2-3 times depending, while a Rending attack off a Grey Hunter is maybe once per game turn, at most. 1/6 chance per attack, while I know for a fact all of my Power Weapon hits will ignore the saves, which I feel is much stronger.
As for the Scouts, where does it say Wolf Guard remove their infiltrate and outflank rules? That seems pretty illogical. They are not independent characters, just an addition to the squad. Why wouldn't they follow the rules for the squad?
I read your Njal thing, but I am not worried about that. What I like is his access to all the powers and ability to use two. The other ability is just a slight bonus, really (that and his awesome Chooser of the Slain).

It doesn't matter that they are not IC's. The Wolf Guard do not have Infiltrate or Scouts. So when you Declare them in reserve, the whole unit does not have one of those rules, therefore you cannot declare they are going to outflank. The Scouts still have them, but the wolf guard does not. As for MotW, can you link where this has been "deduced". I'll take 3-7 Rending Attacks over 3 PW attacks any day.

You get d6+1 attacks with Rending. That means you get on average, 4 Rending attacks. That means only one "rend" for every two combats, give or take. Not that great. While the Power Weapon will always ignore an armor save. Given the specific purpose they are competing for in the squad, the Power Weapon seems superior.
Also, attaching a non-independent character is not really covered in the rules. They become part of the unit, so I would figure the squad would retain all of its special abilities. Otherwise, it doesn't seem to make sense offering them as an accompaniment to Wolf Scouts.
If you have a page or quote from the rulebook concerning this, I would appreciate it. I couldn't find anything that supported that argument anywhere.

Don't you only lose scout and infiltrate if you're joined by an IC that doesn't possess those rules? Wolf Guard aren't ICs so the only thing we can conclude (well, continue to conclude) is that GW should write better rules. Right? Maybe? At least the second part is correct, ya?

The second part is indeed correct. However, I did not say the Wolf Scouts lose the special rule. The Wolf Scouts retain the special rule just fine. However, because the Pack Leader does not have either of those rules, nor is it conferred to him in any way, he himself cannot outflank, nor infiltrate, nor make a scout move. Because they are all one unit, because one model cannot, no-one can.

Gwar, I just don't see a specific rule for this sort of thing. The Wolf Guard are not independent characters, nor are they "upgrades" in the manner of Snikrot or Arjac. Since they join the unit as something else entirely, it would really benefit from a FAQ. I will e-mail GW and hope for an answer until they do up the official deed.
