does anybody think there will be a release very soon?

No I don't think there will be a chaos codex release soon.

I heard a rumor that Codexes were going to be released for each of the Chaos Chapters.
Of course I heard it a long, long time ago and it was thrown out by GW to explain why they nerf Codex: Chaos Space Marines.

The current book is only 2 years old. Keep dreaming.
At this point, what seems more realistic for sooner rather than later release, would be more plastics in a so-called "2nd wave", but there doesn't seem to be anything like that for Chaos Marines for the forseeable future. Plastic Raptors, a plastic multi-part Dreadnought, plastic Obliterators and plastic cult troops in addition to Khorne would all be welcome releases.

I have a thread which I regularly update which contains any news on new releases, however there are no rumors or anything about a new Chaos Codex, which personally I find extremely amusing considering the amount of people that complain about the current one! Hell I play CSM's and I hate how much whining there is about it (no offence)...

How old was the first Tau book? or the eldar craftworld book. It wasn't two years but it did seem fairly soon.

I wonder where that came from.
It's possible but it's a fairly long term project and they have plenty of other codicies to get through first.

A new one is just coming out, actually. It's called Codex: Chaos Wolves. There's a typo in the main title though, kinda weird.

Nothing annouced, but a lot wishlisted for...
That said, now would be a good time to do a Legions book for the Big 4, in preparation for a Legion-free version of CSM when that update is done 3 years from now.
