Its not complete. It still requires all of the rulesbooks etc. It's a facilitating program. Best not to get people's hopes up about a computer doing all the work for them...oh wait PP is making a computer game

I think this is good.
I think it follows their business plan of trying to spark more interest and such.

I remember reading somewhere that their rationale for lower selling is that newcomers don't know what to get (aside from what is said on forums like this or more likely the PP forums).

This gives them exposure, and Vassal is a pretty user friendly way of getting to know the game, getting tips, and such.

But I will be balanced:
It can make money for PP as well as take it away.
Some people will be interested enough to go and actually buy stuff, while others will favor not buying and focusing on Vassal only.

The card people were wrong. That was like people taking a GW codex, including the
art, and reformatting them for legibility.

I also think that the card cease and desist was targeted with the free card dump in
mind, and so they wanted to make sure that people did not simply transfer the art
over to the new cards and try to re-distribute them that way.

I could be wrong, though.

If you notice the cards too - that were given out for free.

Instead of the field test version - they had 1 card per page. Making a traditional noob user have issues unless he really wanted to print out 266 + pages of cards.


Of course the tech savvy - would print multiples on one page ;P

I take it they are going to sell em soon. New card deck, with new book. I'd buy it.
