#43 in our periodic looks at Texas company Reaper Miniatures
http://www.reapermini.com/
"First up for today's spotlight is this amazing sculpt by Julie Guthrie: the Night Spectre. When we got this piece last week, everyone was just blown away by its cool factor -- it's not just a evil shade, it's a work of art. In a nutshell, the Night Spectre is a malevolent undead creature comprised of the souls of murderers and grave robbers all combined to make one nasty critter. Notice the three elements of the green: the earthly skeletons, the ethereal soulstuff, and the overall ghostly form. Mmmm, creepy..."
Another holiday themed Sophie. I think this one is for Christmas.
THis one shows Sophie on her 10th wedding anniversery
This is one of those half/monster races they put in the new edition of D&D, I think he's a half Black Pudding.
NO! DON'T LOOK AT THIS ONE IT WILL TURN YOU TO-
Ah crap.
Now I gotta find a new board to post on.
ANother gorgeous fairy chick for me to buy and then not get around to painting.
ANother part-monster, I think he's a 1/4 gibbering mouther. A popular PC race these days.
Davy Crockett, Assistant Undersecretary of the Wild Frontier.
Dervish warriors know the value of a well-starched sash.
A young swamp dragoon, odd choice of uniform. TO tell the truth he doens't look Napoleonic at all.
AT LAST! Now I have figures to populate the Inn.
A classic D&D monster - the Displacer Beast.
A friendly Mexican shop keeper dispencing a novety lighter shaped like a pistol and a bottle of mineral water.
CYBER REAVERS! Y'know I had an idea once of making a film with Cyber Reavers, it was gonna star Arnold Schwartzenegger and Christian Bale. Probably never happen though.
THere's a lot more on their site and in your FLGS.

Villagers!
Excellent models with plenty of character.
Dunno about the displacer beast though, I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder...

I love reaper miniatures and use them in my d&d campaign. I just picked up a couple reaper minis at my last 40k game night.
I'd really like to see them without the little chunky base so they are easier to base on something a little nicer.

Nothing too amazing, but on the other hand, nothing too bad either. Just the standard, somewhat bland, generic Reaper goodness they're already making hundreds of.

those villiagers are nothing new, just repackaged in to a box. (I already have most of them)
Sculpted by Bobby Jackson, which means they look great, but are larger than a space marine.

y'know you've said that before and I don't get it. THey've got a guy doing a flying attack with his glave, a wall of flaming skeletons and a Mexican Bandito. Where are you shopping that this bland and generic?

I really dig that third one down. Can't *quite* tell everything that's going on there, but very cool looking regardless.

Thanks for posting some more goodies to lust after. That flaming wall is incredible, I can't wait to see a painted version to get a better view of the details.
And yeah, that third one... really unique details and natural weight. Love it.

Wow, that went completely over my head.
Because in D&D the displacer beast is actually called a Beholder. So if you were serious, theres your answer. If not, you need to work on your sarcasm

Well, the flaming skeleton wall doesn't really work for me, I'd need to see it painted to make my mind up. The other two are perfectly characterful, though, especially the Mexican bandit.
