I've just finished collecting my eldar army and am finally ready to paint it!
The army will consist of:
-6 Grav-Tanks (4 Wave Serpents, 1 Falcon, 1 Fire Prism)

-2 Farseers

-9 Warlocks

-10 Storm Guardians

-20 Dire Avengers

-5 Pathfinders

-6 Fire Dragons

-12 Jetbikes (May be spears or Guardians... Not sure yet)

-3 War Walkers

-7 Warp Spiders

I expect the whole thing to take me about two months if things go according to plan.... knock on wood

Anyways, to the fun stuff! Here's my first test paintings on a farseer and 2 wave serpents just to give you a feel for my scheme.

I also have some more done that I'll put up tomorrow.

Lovely stippling on the tank, nice rich blue and solid coverage over the cloak.

What you've done so far looks very nice: good work .

Some more that I've done recently:

Everything still needs detail and highlights, also I'll be darkening the bleached bone on everything to a half and half mix of bone and graveyard earth.

My next update should be Friday with some work on my warlocks or more on the tanks.

How would Alaitoc look if the undercoat was white?

Well the effect of the stippling requires black to look good; so it probably wouldn't turn out very well unless you stippled black and then covered everywhere that wasn't black with blue.

The way I do it is a black under coat, then stipple strait paint over it in spots with a round tipped brush that has been cut off to make a flat surface. The colors I use are Regal blue, 60/40 Regal blue and enchanted blue, Enchanted blue, and for highlights 3/1 enchanted blue and skull white. (Don't water down or add a medium to the paint or it won't cover the black as well)

Step 3:

Oh also, as you can see on the tissue, wipe off the paint each time you grab some on your brush so that you have about twice as muchpaint as you would for dry brushing.
