Is it just me or does a juggernaught at +35 points get smashed by a chariot, which isn only +15?
Juggernaught adds +1S, +1T, +1W and +1A while
Chariot adds +1 S, +1T, +2W, +1A AND give it a 3+ save.

Are they trying to reward good/tricky modeling?
why's the difference so huge?

When you call an intimate moment with your partner "the Assault Phase"

Is that followed by a pile-in move?

That brings a whole new meaning to the term "Hit and Run"

Can that be following a deep strike, or do you have to wait until the next round?

Juggernaut also gives a 3+ save, not just the chariot.

The only other big difference is that a chariot herald loses the IC rule, which is apretty big blow to survivability, and the model itself tends to be somewhat bigger as well.

the IC rule has almost no use in Apoc games anyway... but thanks...

except for, y'know to prevent your Herald from being sniped by a Railgun, or an IG medusa, or a Manticore etc.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

Haha, what differece is it going ti make?
if a titan hits the chariot, its its the chariot. if it hits the squad the guys in, he's hit anyway as well. No one is going to go for a 85pt chariot when there are 2500pt titans on the field.
Hell, if they did target it, it'd be like forfeting half of hteir shooting phase. I'd be very willing to make that sacrafice.

Welcome to Dakka. I have a feeling you won't be well liked if you continue to ask questions and then mock the answers.

The idea is that it takes extra effort and time to write properly, and they’d rather save the time. If you can still be understood, what’s the harm? While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.

Thankyou for the Welcome Lordhat.
I must say i agree, To mock the answer to ones question is a silly idea.
Having already thanked the person for the answer, i am merly commenting on those who attempt to mock me by listing the many things in the warhammer world that can take a wound from an 85pt piece.
The nature of forums is to add your say, i understand that, but it helps if you do more than just scan it...

No they'd take all the wounds. Double toughness = dead; in a unit you could pass on a non instant death wound to him letting him live longer.

All deamons have the Eternal Warrior USR...

But neways - I would have to agree. I think you are being a touch too confrontational and argumentative Bascillica. There is a happy medium within a debate (and I understand how they can get heated) but you are a touch too high.

Aknowledged Razerous. Thankyou for your level-headedness. Prehapse too many years of debating has given me an arrogance-complex.
I personally just dont see how Lordhat saying i wont be liked has anything to do wtih the topic at hand. (And personally, i find it somewhat insulting.)

Your tone in your comments to other posters trying to help you is also somewhat insulting. Your question has been answered, a Chariot makes you lose the IC rule, while just taking the juggernaught does not. If you wish to debate the tactical effectiveness of one option vs another, then please make a new thread in the "40k Tactics" section.

Didnt need to be said/prolonged/carried on.
