Yea so after over a year I'm seeing some old mates from before my Gamesworkshop closed down and my blood angels are looking awful so I'm using my friend who left for the air force Imperial Guard, and I am at a complete lost not knowing how he could possible run this mass of minis.. Granted he lost every game I have ever seen him play except for that time he was on my team on a lucky 13 match. (I took allot of orbital bombardments and such.. Our team wasn't happy with that) I'm also thinking about making the veterans as Storm Troopers.. Since well I just found out they are now awesome

10 Cadian
* Grenade launcher
*Vox Caster
*Missile Lancer Team
*Crack Cocaine.. I meant Krack Grenades (Ahahaha... Yea I'm trying to be funny)

10 Cadian

That's what I got thus far and I don't know exactly what to take for HQ and after I take an HQ I'm going to take either
Grey Knight Terminators, Inquisitor or Vindicar assassin as my ally choice (I don't remember how allies worked.. Help please)

Storm troopers aren't really worth it IMO. Veterans are much more effective in Guard lists.

Having said that, given that you want to add in various items from the DH lists, why not just make it an all out DH list instead of using allies? that solves your HQ issue and your desire to take DH allies. Storm troopers form the DH list are much better than the ones in the new Guard codex and you can still use the normal guard units you have

Sadly at first I was going to do that but my friend has only grenade launchers for storm troopers

use 5 stormies with 2 meltaguns...one of the best options in the whole codex!!!
