When you say a horrid mess do you mean it's good, because it's kind of supposed to be a horrid mess, it's a looted ork vehicle.

Oh, and the reason it was on the swap shop is because i was seeing if this guy wanted to trade it or not.

It doesn't look Orky at all. It looks like a bunch of Chaos bitz haphazardly thrown onto a predator, which was then tumbled around a bunch. It's hard to screw up Orkifying a vehicle, but it seems you managed to do it. I wouldn't have guessed that this was Orky if you didn't clarify that.

Get some Orky bits from a Trukk, boyz, or anything else in the Ork range and start over. Orks love to decorate their vehicles with glyphs, gubbinz, and all manner of other things to show it's theirs.

Orks: Giving crap scratchbuilders an excuse since day one.

It looks bad. There's no Ork character to it at all, and it looks like it had a bucket of pitch poured over it.

ok you guys i get it it's bad i'll work on it some more but in all fairness i had just primered it before the picture so it's still wet, i took some stuff off, and it looked a lot better not primered because everything was differently colored and such.

but all in all after looking at it again it does need another go to make it orky(when i did this i was 12 and didn't have the money to actually buy ork bits to put on it i made do with what i had)

It's a good start, to be fair. Just add a bunch of randomly cut pannels and maybe a few grots hanging off it and it's done. With Orks there is never bad, just finished and needs more gubbins. Unless you work with cardboard, then it's bad.

Nice comments.

You can definately achieve some Orkiness without GW Orky bitz. There are a lot of things you can make with plasticard, though if you had to try to find some Orky bitz to make looted tanks I would go with: snots and grotz as riggas, shootas and big shootas to put inside firing ports and sponsons, any spare glyphs you can beg/borrow/trade.

Orky things you can make with plasticard and other common bitz:
Deffrolla from tubing covered in cardboard, then details with very thin sheets of cut-out plasticard.
Rivets cut from very thin plasticard rod. After gluing them down and drying, you can go back and file them down a bit so they look right.
Haphazard beat-up armor plates with rivets.
Glyph ideas copied from Orky Codex and cut from plasticard.

Add battle damage and gouges. Don't go too overboard, but definately cut chips out of corners with a hobby knife, shallow bullet holes with drill bit, etc.

You can always sand down the tank and kinda start over! Don't forget the 'red paint job'!

Which side of the fence do I sit on hmmmm

On one side this tank looks a total load of crap Im not going to pull my punches this looks rubbish.

On the other side you could take it strip it then get some Ork parts and really pile them on and make this mother really orky.

Back to the drawing board as they say...

The Boss.

Cut up pieces of plasticard, they don't all have to be squares, and glue them on randomly, then attach rivets. I do have to agree with most of the comments, it doesn't look orky at all.

It's not as bad as they said it is a good base it just needs some more ork stuff added. You just need to add some more random plasticard pannels. You could get some thin chain and wrap it around a gun barrel then superglue it to get some more orkyness on it. If you get a knife and rune it down the edge where tank pannels meet it makes good weathering.

When I convered a dreadnought to a deffdread I cut a small hole in the armour angled the edges of the hole to make it look like metal then I cut out random plasticard pannels and stuck them across the hole leaving small gaps so you could see the hole.

My main tips for orkifying stuff is use different thickness of pannels and think about the sort of way an ork would destroy the vehicle and model it then repair it, e.g. make a rocket hole then ork fix it.

I think if you add some more randomeness to it would look much better.
