Awesome. I love game endings like that.
Once, I witnessed a game where 6 GK termies charged 2 Lesser daemons from codex CSM. They charge through a wreck (difficult and dangerous), and 2 die (Agh!) the, because of the terrain and lack of frags, the daemons go first. 'It can't be worse than your dangerous terrain test!' I joked. It was. With their 4 attacks, the 2 daemons got 4 hits. Then 4 wounds. Then. Confidently, the GK player violently shook his dice in his hands and let fly the fate-cubes across the table. 4 f-in' ones. He silently packed up his GK into their army case, and has not played with them since, and says that he won't again for a long time.

Once, I played Eldar against Space Marines, in second edition. (But it must be said that we'd changed to WFB-style close combat, more like it's done in 40K now.) In three turns, Jain Zar killed two dreadnoughts a terminator captain and a terminator chaplain, then killed three regular termies and saw off the rest of the unit when they tried to flee. It was the last battle with my Eldar before they were unceremoniously thrown all over the highway because I crashed into a dropped spare tire. That was my only 40K epic moment, and I will forever cherish it.

Hahaha, these are epic! The other day, me and 2 friends did 2000 point chaos/guard/crons (my Crons XD) against 2000 spack marines(the annoying guy at our club's marines
(we split force organisation between us, so the 1hq and 2 troops were covered by 20 warriors and 1000 sons, a chaos and a necron lord.) Our heavy support consisted of 3 Leman Russes (2 battle tanks, 1 executioner), a monolith(held for deep strike) and sophie (the defiler).
Spack marines had 6 squads(all with missile launchers), a METAL BAWKS!!!!(rhino) and a "proxied" chaos Land Raider (which is his brothers) he had a command squad, Sicaruis, Emperor's champion and Chapter Master (of the Blood Ravens, the fluff escapes me at this point.) And Terminators in reserve(as per usual).
We took the initiative and first turn.
End of turn 1, he has 8 men left (yes, that is correct), Land Raider and BAWKS!
No Orbital Bombardment! XD.
His turn 1, nothing dies. (Yup, he did the square root of feth all in his turn)
Our turn 2, the Chaos Sorcerer gets in Range of his Emperor's Champoin(forgot about him), and Gift of Chaos's him to a Spawn. My 'Cron lord and the spawn assault Sicarius. Lord fails to wound(damn my luck((even with Scyth)), The Spawn kills Sicarius. Epic lols ensue. And the best part? 0 casulties on our side (apart from sophies 2x immobilised) and we didnt even use the Monolith.XD
Automatically Appended Next Post:
"Land Raider" funny thing is, he only "borrowed" the top, so it was "sinking" during the game, so we counted it as immobilised. Didn't matter, he was too dumb to transport anything in it.

When you call an intimate moment with your partner "the Assault Phase"
Is that followed by a pile-in move?
That brings a whole new meaning to the term "Hit and Run"
Can that be following a deep strike, or do you have to wait until the next round? |
