The new Blood Bowl game can be played turn based, but it's so incredibly imbalanced, I wouldn't recommend it.

Fallout 1&2 are AMAZING still, even decades after they came out.

Personally, I usually don't go in for turn based strategy games, as almost all of them require a LOT of save->die->load->retry, which is not what I personally look for in a game.

If you have a PS3, I can vouch for Valkyria chronicles.
