Hello All, ive been trying out a few speed techniques to get a good/quick ork paint progress going, i came up with this... took est. 30min to paint up, C&C.

this is practise for commission work if anyone is interested pop me a PM, cheers.

(yes i know, drill the barrels/get the mold lines)

*note if this was proper work, i would matte finish the ork so it wouldnt look so shiny and the green looks alot darker irl.

Wow, that's awesome for 30mins work. I could get mine to about that quality, but on a per-mini basis it takes me nearly a whole day. What's your painting process for that ork?

nice paintjob but 30 minutes for an infantry model that you'll need about 60-70 times in your army isn't very fast..

...nothing else matters...

Very nice indeed for speed painting. How did you do the rust effects? Boltgun metal with a runny beastial brown/blazing orange mix?

I know you have to speed paint orks as you need a crap ton of them (last ork game opponent brought 85 or so) so I would say 30 mins is plenty for one model.

Cheers

If I give you a cookie, will you go away? If I give you the bag, will you go far, far away?

Its really quite simple, i looked around for some good speed painting tutorials and my result would be: black undercoat, base colours, wash of devlain mud (except metals), wash of badab black (metals), and some quick highlights, i can go into detail if you want too

Yeah i know more models would be daunting but if i had more orks to test on i could do a batch of 10 in about 1 hour imo. And when my orders from AP arrive, i'll be dipping the models to make it look 100x better and quicker.

I got the rust effect from a tutorial from G_D, basically after you have painted the metal, scorched brown to the rust areas, then blazing orange in the scorched brown(but make sure you leave it to show the scorched brown effect).

Thanks for all the positive comments guys

Props to you, the highlighting on the skin looks awesome, and really the whole model looks sweet for about 30 min.

Nice work. When it comes to orks, it doesn't matter how fast you can paint one of them. All that matters is how fast you can paint a crapload of them.

Sounds like someone needs to buy my "ORK IN A CAN" spray paint!!!
Simply spray ORK IN A CAN at any Ork mini, and PRESTO its painted....... BLACK!!

Seriously that is pretty damn nice. Id like to see you paint a boss, but take your time. I bet that would look supurb

I say go for it. The AOBR boss is, IMO, the coolest looking boss made ( same with the captain. I think they did that on purpose)
Anywho go for it man, you just might make some cash off it.
