I currently collect Crimson fists, Biel-Tan, Chaos Daemons and Necron. I was wondering if I should collect Dark Eldar as I have started to like them again.

I'm not sure whether I should wait for the new Codex release or start with the old one.

I would preferably like an DE army that is very fast and deadly.

Ideas will be appreciated...

If you want a DE army that's fast and deadly, get lots of raiders and warriors. Don't hold your breath for a new codex. They've been working on one for 4 years according to Jervis, and it's nowhere near completion.

The entire range is getting redone, but that's many years away.

Which really sucks, cause DE are really the only army I'm considering doing now that i have 3k+ marines.

I don't want to do another MEQ, instead I'm looking for a more finesse army. There are other options, but dark eldar are the most villainous of them - which is what I want.

Plus, space pirates rule.

You should wait fora new Codex, same as any other GW army. That way, you're not accidentally invalidated when the book comes out.

The problem is that Dark Eldar may not get that book for a very long time.

I guarantee that every model will be redone.... After all the current warrior design is from 1991.

Buy Dark Eldar, and get other people to buy them too. Get enough DE sales and maybe GW will actually notice them and update them.
