hey peeps,
I'm thinking of converting my dark angels into an imperial fist army at some point for a change. However because many of my models are so old i havnt got transfer sheets with the imperial fist icon on. I'd rather not have to paint the fist onto their shoulder pads and would prefer to use transfers for it. I was therefore wondering if anyone knows where i can get a transfer sheet with imperial fist icons on?
thanks,
Minaith.

If all else fails you could make your own. Many hobby shops have kits that you can print onto transfer paper using a regular printer. I've done this before for a couple squads of a DIY chapter I did. They came out pretty good.

You can even get decal sheets suitable for laser printers (these don't require varnishing BEFORE* applying).
* non-laser printed decals require varnishing because the inks will run when you wet them. The varnish prevents this. They also require varnishing afterwards (but all do) to help them blend into the surface.

I was going to start a thread about this, but if it's OK I might just waylay this one a bit... can you give a product name for the transfer sheet you mention chromedog? Sounds very useful (painting a white panther onto shoulders is painful).
Also, how do you get the GW transfers to stay down on shoulders? Could I use thinned down PVA?

You could just look on ebay people sell transfers in bulk on ebay for small amounts of money. Automatically Appended Next Post: Million wrote:Also, how do you get the GW transfers to stay down on shoulders? Could I use thinned down PVA?
You could use gloss varnish as it is invisible and it keeps the gw transfers on.

If I can find where my marine ones went I could get the Fists ones off them for you if you're in the UK.

Do you mean the decal will not lay flat because of the shape of the decal, or surface it is being applied to? If so, you can buy decal softener. They sell it at Hobby Town and specialty model stores. You brush it on and it kind of melts the decal so it lays down flat.
