I think the face is too black; it doesn't really look human. But it should be extremely easy at this point to bring up the color by adding layers of dark flesh and highlights of dwarf flesh (for example).

Other than that the model looks fantastic.

The face is supposed to be black salamanders have to live in intense heat on their home world so they ended up black (yes fully black)

lol - yeah I know, but without any highlight it just doesn't look human.

Ah, new fluff, how I despise thee. Yeah, in the newest fluff Sallies have coal-black skin and red eyes. Aside from that, which I feel is really bloody stupid, good looking model.

Amen to that. What ever happened to them being black as in African? Thats what they WERE until recently when GW decided to be.....well GW.

That aside, nice job man.

The SM models don't have the right facial structure for an African (or African-American) skin tone to look right - in that regard, jet black makes slight more sense, as who can say what sort of face you'd end up with?

very nice, like the green and how you kept to the fluff. a very beautiful paint job, hopefully I can paint to this level some time soon. but all I can add to that is Lucky!, I would love to get my hands on a few of these to turn into sgts for my Tac Squads or throw a jump pack on and put him in my assault squad.

If you look on the Gallery Image you can see that I did a Grey Highlight on his face.
(Cheekbones, forehead etc.)
