Howdy all,

so today I decided to buckle down and finish off some of my necrons. I decided to polish off a monolith I just got in the mail (it was painted horribly) and my Destroyers (as they take longer to paint than warriors and things). Heres what I used;

Armor - Dark Angels Green + Chainmail 1:1
Shoulderpads/joints - Liche Purple + Boltgun Metal 2:1
Kanji - Shining Gold
Eyes - Golden Yellow
Gun wiring/head wires - Scorpion green
Other wiring - Scab Red (for undercarraige), Ice Blue, and fenris grey
Weaponry - Dwarf bronze on the end, boltgun metal for the gun
Spines and other parts - Boltgun metal

On the lith I used all the same colors. So heres the pics

Pic of the monolith, a bit blurry cuz still not used to using my cam in low light :(

Pic of the back of a destroyer. A lil blurry, but on the shoulders I painted the Kanji for life, on the chassis I painted the Kanji for Death.

backside of the lith. The kanji painted on the large pole or whatever going above the crystal; Life, Death, Destruction, Annihilation.

Pic of em all. The bases on most of them broke when they were shipped on me, only one survived :(

Over the next few weeks I'll try and finish up my warriors and immortals (I am not repainting the lords/pariahs I got in a trade). I'll post pics on my profile when its all done! I just wanted to know what everyone thought of them. The general idea was I wanted a Necron army from a radioactive world (thus why I named them Gamma). I also had the idea after coming up with the name of using the colors of The Hulk... so tada!

C&C always welcome

I'm not a fan of the colour scheme but I've never liked purple with anything but blues and metallics (hence why my necrons are metallic purple ). The Destroyer-closeup looks very clean barring the photo quality.

I like the conversion on the destroyer with the "extra long gun"... it looks rather amusing. Do you use that as a regular gauss cannon or a heavy gauss cannon? Also, in the last picture, what sort of weapon does the left-most destroyer have? the camera angle makes it difficult to see.

Everything's too colourful.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Why the Kanji dude? I don't get it.
I like the colourful sheme btw, it's original at the very least.

I just don't understand the Kanji.

I think they look alright
Also according to his post those colours are metallic and you can see it in the pictures as well.
It's an interesting choice of colours for Necrons though, but it seems to be working.

I love em. The purple and silver with the green go well together in my opinion. Now you need to make your Lord into the hulk. Some supersized, supermassive necron. I dont know what to use as a basis for it, but i would give it more of that hulk/gamma look.

not a fan of the color honestly but the overall is clean at the least, plus I do like the eastern writing on them.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Its nice to see someone not be afraid of a colorful scheme. It definitely will pop out on a table top. The monolith looks a little messy compaired to the rest tho, did you strip the previous paint job first? Or did you just repaint?

It was a defilers autocannon converted to a heavy gauss cannon. The leftmost was a heavy gauss!

I repainted over it, it was a terrible paint job and woulda taken a while to strip... honestly I think it turned out ok for being a paint over haha! Most of the destroyers were painted plain silver, so I just painted them over as well with my green mix and it was really clean!

Thanks for the comments, I admit they're colorful And the Kanji is more of an asthetic choice, I like how it makes them stand out, and it actually makes a really neat contrast

Well seeing as my Orks are gritty (haven't done many) and my Chaos are gritty, I figured my Crons could be a good change of pace! I painted up some of my warriors/immortals somewhat,s gotta finish em up, I'll post pics sometime next week

At least they're not chibi necrons.

Kawaii is something that should be met with fire.

A bit colourful for me (who has an eldar army that looks like a box of skittles), though.

I like the colors, rather original. I didn't even notice the Kanji till I saw it mentioned. Kind of fits with the odd glyph writing you see with the Necron decals.

I would fill the gaps on the Monolith joins with Green Stuff or something however. And did you do something to the Gause Flux guns on the Monolith? They look like they might be a bit longer than normal.

P.S. Invest in a tripod, use the camera's 2 second delay setting, and make sure the flash is turned off.

I didn't do anything to the gauss cannons on the lith, might just be the way its viewed?

Thanks for the comments everyone I'll definitely post an update later this coming week when I get to finish some of my immortals/warriors

Hey all,

got all 13 of my immortals finished tonight... room mates had a halloween party without telling me, so woke me up at 3 am -_- so I decided to finish em up while I was awake haha.

They turned out pretty good! if you notice about 5 of the immortals have the Warrior gun tips on their weapons. Reason being is one of the guys I traded with sent me 5 immortals but no gun tips! Luckly I had some warrior gun tips haha... worked out ok.

I should get a bunch of warriors done this coming week!

Oh and I still have to base these ><
