I'm looking for a good solid base army that does well against most other things, I have been trying a lot of different gimmicky armies and while fun they have not faired well. And yeah I know if I want a "competitive army" I shouldn't play Crons in the first place, but what I am looking for is a the best all around necron army I can make. I have most model options at my disposal, and if I don't have them I would be willing to get the few I might need. Any way right now here is where I'm starting at.

2 monoliths, 2 units of 10 warriors, 3 units of 5 immortals, 5 units of 5 Destroyers.

That is my baseline, I'm thinking about cutting the destroyers down to units of 3 or 4 and getting a lord with orb or two.

I only trade in US thanks.

Well you need a lord to even play, as they are required by the force org.

Er, you have 25 destroyers? All you can use in a normal game is 15, plus 9 heavy destroyers.

As said you need a lord.
15 destroyers: 750
9 Heavy destroyers: 585?
20 Warriors (minimum amount allowed): 360

That's a pretty good core to the army, I would then take two lords w/resurrection orbs, 1 with destroyer body. Some people might advocate immortals for the remaining points, I say you need more warriors for objective games.

I believe the other good tactic is to take 2 monoliths and then get crap-loads of warriors, but you'd need to buy a lot more, and it seems a bit boring to me. As is, buy 2 lords and you'll be able to play a game at no less a disadvantage than any other necron player. Hope that helps.

1 unit of scarabs is almost necessary now with all the mech running around (and also not to mention giving coversaves). Destroyers are great, 1 full unit or 2 is good. 2 monoliths at 2000 points is a good baseline, 3 is good but drops your phase out pretty low. Running 3 small squads of immortals is a big no-no as they will get chopped down quickly in a lot of games in smaller numbers. As well, you DO need a lord lol.

I'd write up a list, but essentially I'd go for this;

1x lord w/ rez orb/VoD
1 squad of 8-10x immortals running with the lord
3 squads of 10 warriors
1 full squad of scarabs w/ disruption field
2 monoliths
2 5 man squads of destroyers, or 1 5 man squad of destroyers and 3x wraiths running with a destroyer lord for counter assault

Thats a good baseline to go off of, I didn't do points calcs tho just rambled off some things
